WL74 option packages

The Overland and Summits, (regular and Reserve) show 2 different option packages. The Overland lists the Advance ProTech Group III and Luxury Tech Group IV, and the Summits, list Advance ProTech Group IV and Luxury Tech Group V. But their summaries seem to list the same total set of features. Are the option packages different between the Overland and Summits because many of those listed in the Overland packages are already included in the base Summits, or is there a difference in what each one offers?

Based on the handy Feature Availability List that redriderbob provided, cosmetics aside, it seems that the only Summit feature not available on the Overland is the 360 camera. Not sure why that's excluded for the Overland, unless I'm missing it somewhere, since it seems to be offered in the Trailhawk.

SurroundView Camera is part of the Adv ProTech Group III package available on the Overland trim according to the feature availability sheet.

You're right. Found it separately in SAFETY AND SECURITY:

I think the following are the features that are only available on the Summit or Summit Reserve:
  1. ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist
  2. Traffic Sign Recognition system
  3. Drowsy Driver Detection
  4. Ventilated second-row seating (included with Summit Reserve Package)

The difference and why the use a separate name for these packages is because of the standard features.
Summit comes with some options as standard, which can only be obtained for Overland if you buy one of the packages. So in the end, the list of features for each is not entirely the same.
Also the price might not be the same because of what's included, Lux for Overland is 1995 and for Summit just 300 or so

I wish Jeep would give some info about the rear entertainment. It appears that is not currently an option on any trim, even though they tout the new passenger screen as being able to control the rear entertainment screens. Also, the demo vehicles for industry reviews were equipped with the rear entertainment. I'm ready to order once 4xe + rear entertainment are available options.

I too wish I could find out some information on these, not that I need them, but out of curiosity. They are shown in pictures, but not as an option to add anywhere 🤷‍♂️

I definitely remember seeing it on the initial configurators for both the 75 and 74 models. It's also clearly shown on some of the recent reviews of the L, such as, among others, around 22:15 here:
I don't know if it's another chip shortage or a marketing issue, but they seem to have limited the 2nd row entertainment to the Wagoneer only. I'm guessing it's a chip shortage, where they want to prioritize the Wagoneer while availability it limited. It doesn't seem like a viable marketing plan to expect anyone to switch to a Wagoneer just to get the 2nd row entertainment.

Does the following look like the correct list of options that are only available for the Summits?
  1. ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist
  2. Traffic Sign Recognition system
  3. Drowsy Driver Detection
  4. Ventilated second-row seating (included with Summit Reserve Package)

I ordered a WL74 Summit yesterday with a Passenger screen, group IV & V. They asked if I wanted the rear entertainment screens while he was on the build screen. I declined, so I guess it's an option. As far as the dealer knows there is NO equipment deletions to the standard Summit that he knows about.

The passenger screen build code is RJA. Cost > MSRP $1095 and Invoice $986. Hope this helps!

That's the first I heard of the rear entertainment being offered. Did you catch what the price was?

I didn't want it so I didn't ask for the price. The jeep build site is wanting for improvement. Actually, it's shameful with the lack of info available. Not very professional IMO........!!

It looks like that option didn't last long, add two dealers told me I could order the 4xe but the rear entertainment is not currently an option on any WL74 trim.

That is amazing to me. I am SURE that option is available since the 2022 user manual addresses it. Actually, in my process of searching for a deal on a WL74 Summit (8 dealers), I was told the passenger screen option was not available. I provided the build code for it and they said...oh yes, it is an option. Those dealers are obviously idiots!!! JMO

When ordering my 22 GCL SR V8 my dealership told me that the passenger screen wasn't available. I had to educate him (nicely of course) about their own vehicle and that's it a standard feature for the SR. Seems like a salesman would research what they sale better.

Wait, you are able to order a 4xe? What trims? I have been waiting to hear from my dealer to get the go ahead. I guess I should call them tomorrow.

I didn't pull the trigger because the rear entertainment cannot be added yet. But you can order the 4xe, at least in SR, Reserve and Overland, and I believe in limited.

Well cool. Def will call them in the morning. I have been pestering them about it every few weeks for almost a year now. I was expecting them to call me first thing they showed up on their list to order. 4xe SR with all the options. My expectation is they will lease pretty close to the Wrangler 4xe's. With a large capital cost reduction per the federal tax credit.
