WL74 comments at 6k miles

As a first build, I anticipated a few issues. My build was in March 2022 and I purchased mid March at a dealership in Florida. That pretty much told me it was at the beginning of the production and open to issues. After having a rear axle replaced at 700 miles, I became anxious about all the little noises and UConnect issues. But I have to say that it has been very good so far and the WL has grown on me as a overall quiet comfortable ride, with more than enough performance and adequate handling, this coming from a former VW GTI driver. Gas mileage has been in the middle, hope it gets to at least 20 mpg soon. After the axle issue, I have been chasing a minor knocking noise in the front suspension which has educated me on how the new European suspension works. The technician walked me through the five control arms per side, strut assembly and many bushings, highlighting that it is a complex setup and not easy to pinpoint a noise, but this is why it handles well. He said to give it a chance as it is a new design for it to work through any issues. The V6 engine has been quite capable moving the WL74, much better than the heft of 3 row. The transmission has been keeping up with the demands of frequent lane changes and maneuvering through traffic. It has proven to be a quiet comfortable ride on long drives, stable and actually eager to go faster, so watch your speed. The steering is quick to input and holds my lane and cornering. The interior still amazes me on how far Jeep has come on interior design, very upscale. So after some doubts, I really like this truck, so much so, I added the 8 year/ 100k Mopar warranty as it maybe be with me for awhile. Thanks for listening …

Thanks for sharing, i think we need more posts of long mileage WL74 experiences so far, especially if they are generally positive experiences...or i just need to stop reading all the negative ones 😅 only. Good call on maxcare...my previous V6 2014 WK2 had no issues after 140Kmiles (except the rear diff started making whining noises around 100Kmi so i got that replaced), and i rolled the dice without any maxcare warranty. Suffice to say, i got maxcare on my 2022 WL74, but hoping the Jeep Gods bless me with another solid car with only minor issues to worry about.

Thank you for the info. How much does it cost for 8year or 100k extension warranty?
