Wireless charger working :)

So my wireless charger has never been able to charge my phone. The LED would generally be blue for 10-20 mins tops and then it would start blinking red and the phone itself would get super hot... I didn't necessarily blame the charging pad for this because I'm using wireless Android Auto and the phone kinda gets warm all by itself using this... Anyway, I don't know exactly when this started happening because I stopped using the charger, but a couple of weeks ago I noticed after a trip that my phone had slipped from standing up in the wireless charging bay to laying on it, and it had been there quite a while and the blue light had turned to green...

Yesterday I drove 4 hours and decided to test it. Using wireless Android Auto the whole trip, the charger LED stayed blue the entire time, the phone was fairly warm, but not "HOT", and kept a high charge the entire trip. It never went green, but the battery would have been severely depleted after this trip in the past and this is the first time I've been very happy with the charger... I can only assume this happened with the big update that recently came out...

I'm happy to say that my list of issues with my L is almost gone... I think the only one left is the screen brightness at dusk. This had been fixed for a short time, but then the last update seemed to break it again :( I'm hoping they fix this again and then I'll actually have a bug free Jeep maybe.

I haven't tested the wireless charger recently - I didn't figure it was something that could be improved through an update. I got a flush mounted fast-charging 12V plug with 2 outlets that does the job pretty well for me and keeps the battery in the phone up.

Has anyone figured out if you can get apps like Waze or the Escort Radar Detector Apps loaded onto the media system or how to get it to project to the screen via Android Auto? Google map directions seem to be all I can default to.

Waze is an option under Android Auto you just have to pick it from the menu Escort Radar app should be the same? Why can't you select them from the list of apps?
