Window Tint

Has anyone had the front two windows tinted to match the factory rear? I'd love to see it before getting mine done, I like them dark. Thinking about having the windshield done as well.

I dont have a photo of mine with the tint but I got 20% all around. The windshield is 70% not dark at all and the sunroof is 45%. I did use XPEL XR plus.

70% on the windshield. Around 20% on the front two windows and I’m not sure what they put over all the other windows for it to all match. The place we went to uses XPEL prime plus. It looks so much better!

I just got my tint done yesterday and their meter read the factory tint at 30% which I thought was weird. My BMW X5 was 20% factory.
That’s weird. Mine measured around 20, the fronts were done in 20 and match about as perfect as it possibly could.

What % tint did you do on the windshield? Looks great.
Thanks! I lost the stupid invoice already so I cannot find the details. But, truthfully, since you are not doing the work, the shop is, just bring the car to them and have them look at it and they'll match it up.

Did anybody else get a factory reading of 30%? I got mine done last week and the meter came back at 30% which was hard to believe. I went with 20% as it actually matched better as the untinted windshield allows more light in allowing the driver and passenger seats to be naturally brighter.

From what I understand there is no sun protection on the rear windows. Its tinted for privacy but no UV protection. So if you match the front two, you will get UV protection for yourself but your kids will not :) I did 15% on the front two windows and 20% on the rear and back window and it came out great. I have to do it on my overland as well.
