When can 2024 models be ordered?

Any news on when 2024 models will be available to order? It seems there's no date in sight for the Off Road Group, or any eLSD to be available for the 2023 models. Also hoping non-black interiors will become available again. Does anyone have insight into that schedule?

That's where they build 'em.
Is it possible to tell which options that model year will have? Specifically, is there information on whether the Overland will have any non-black interior options? Then, is there any indication that eLSD will become available?

The only 2024 code guides out for Jeep are Wrangler 2 and 4 door. No guides out yet for the other models so no idea what the options may be. I just ordered a 2023 WLJS74 and the Off-road package is still marked "late availability" which now looks like probably never for 2023. The only interior color option is still black. If I had tried to order a Summit, I would be forced to delete the ELSD. Summit does have interior options of Black or Tupelo/Black, whatever that is. I was forced to order something else or be dropped from the corporate lease program. You have to order when they tell you. My current vehicle is not even a year old but they said to turn it in and order a 2023.

Thanks for those insights. I see the Summits have the tan/Tuepelo color option. I assume the black means the surrounding molding, (which is how it's shown in the preview, where the Reserve has molding that matches the seat color), so at least that isn't a hot seat in the summer. They initially had gray available, but that has been gone for the whole 2023 year. But the eLSD deletion is in my way and I prefer the 18" wheels. So it's tough to make a case to spend this much on a car that isn't exactly what I want. It also looks like the price just went up $1K. I'm surprised the eLSD component is still in such short supply. I guess I can hold on to my current Grand Cherokee a little longer to see if the Off Road Group arrives sooner than later.

I totally get it. I would NOT be ordering the Overland I just ordered as it is not what I want but I am forced to order. At least the corporate lease is only one year and there is no money down so next year I will order a 2024. If they ever force us to order an EV, that is when I drop out of the program.

'24 WL production starts Nov 27th

If that's still accurate, anybody who's planning to special order a WL will have to wait a very, very long time since the order banks for MY23 are closed.

What I heard is that production of MY24 starts in August which sounds more reasonable now.

I appreciate that update. That's encouraging. I hope the components for eLSD and other interior colors than black for Overland will become available.

No way November is still accurate.

I know for a fact that orders are already being accepted for the MY24 WL74 - incl. 4xe. In the chart, it still shows "TBD" so that's certainly outdated.

11/27/2023 is exactly 5 months from today. How on earth would they be able to catch up on production after accepting orders for 5 months without any production?

If that would be accurate, why not add 5 weeks, skip MY24 altogether and launch MY25 in January.;)

Run that concept by Corporate Production Planning.
Some Detroit area Stellantis plants have envoked 90 day critical status-7 day production into September...stockpiling in anticipation of a lengthy UAW strike.

I assume this is the source of the posted chart:

https://www.donlen.com/manufacturer...-trucks-build-out-final-order-start-up-dates/

What's interesting is the fact that it shows that it was last updated on 8/23/22 and I think the listed initial order acceptance date for the GC for MY23 isn't accurate, either.

I guess we'll see.

Hopefully you're right that it's before Nov. That document looks official, but I wonder if there's a more recent version. With all of the deletions and delays, this has been a rough year to order a Grand Cherokee.

I'm glad that's true for certain configurations in Canada. But it seems we still can't order the Off Road Group in the US, or any interior color than black in an Overland. Hoping that changes no later than Nov, otherwise this will be the first time in over 40 years that I couldn't order a Jeep.
