What am I missing here

Someone pointed this out in another thread as a comment to someone and I looked further and went as far as going to a dealership to see if its true.
The Overland and above are to have LED Low/High Beam Projector lights and the models below are to have LED Reflector Headlamps
Yet if you look at the actual cars on the lot and the pictures attached, which aren't the best, they certainly appear to be the same configuration of headlamp.

Ihave an overland and it says that they are projector but when i look into the light it looks like a reflector. They all look the same from the ones I have seen besides the different color DRL.

They look the same, reflectors. My Overland looks nothing like projector
But what I can tell you is that the Overland visibility is great at night, even better but no worst than my other car that has projectors.
And the Overland fog lights are quite powerful given their size

I get that they are bright and they are nice and all but..... Projectors on my RAM are pretty damn sweet!!!

Ironically on moparparts.com they list out three different lights and they share all the same fitment.... Are they or are they not Projector ??

Yeah jeep has no clue what parts are actually in this vehicle vs what they list on their window sticker. I have an overland and it does not have projection headlights, they are standard reflector housing. I asked my dealership about this and they said it was a projector headlight, clearly they have no clue what that even means. None of the GCL trim models have a projection headlight, they are all reflector.

Our 21 GCL Altitude lists "LED reflector headlamps" on the sticker, nothing about "projection".

Overland and summits list projectors but it doesn't appear that we have them

It seems Jeep PLANNED to put projectors on Overlands and Summits but that never happened. However, the website was never updated. That's a perfect example why you should never bank on such information.
On my former BMW X7, the configurator stated that the rear doors had manual sunshades. However, every X7 with shades has electric ones.

It's not just the website. When I look at my list of equipment in the app it shows projector headlights as well.

Right.. your Altitude comes with Reflective LED, the Overland and above show Projector

I wouldn't hold them to what it says on the website, but the window sticker should be accurate. My window sticker shows Bi–Function LED Projector Headlamps.

At this point I'd bet they wait to introduce them when/if they launch new I6 turbo hybrid drivetrains, likely as a mid-life refresh, maybe 2025. Maybe sooner, but they've been trying to get that motor working for what seems like decades at this point.

Yeah that's what all the upper trim levels say on the widow sticker. You don't have projection headlights though.

I know I don’t, hence the question am I missing something here.. even my General Sales Manager stated” Hmm I don’t know”. Hahaha
