It's identical to the representative image on their website. Two separate mats for the 2nd rowDoes it look any sent than the pictures above? If so, can you post some pictures?
That’s frustrating. Why do they give the customer the ability to specify bench/no bench if the product is identical? It's identical to the representative image on their website. Two separate mats for the 2nd row
Bummer, having just ordered them. But... winter is here and there seem to be no good options. Trimming is the best choice for me, living in a muddy place with kids.I got the WeatherTech mats today for my GC L with a 2nd row bench and I am not impressed. The front passenger mat doesn’t fit well, but it’s adequate. The real issue is the third row mat has a lip on it that is too tall and interferes with the sliding of the second row bench. Either I need to cut down the lip or deal with a return to weather tech and hope that a new set will be better.
It stinks the 2nd row isn’t one piece but the pictures I’ve seen of the 3rd row makes it look like it covers quite a bit between the captains chairs and part of the hump in the 2nd row. I wouldn’t be that bummed about the weather techs, the jeeps had the same coverage or less with more price. Supposed to receive our weathertechs Saturday.Seems like a total fail on Weathertech's part with the separate matts for the second row. I'm hoping the 'third row' mat extends into the second row in the middle. (really dumb design)
I ordered a set today anyway because the Jeep ones were unavailable (I had a parts guy give me the numbers of every dealer that showed them in stock, but all were "reserved for customers" and not actually available. What a huge fail, coming into winter. One of the Jeep parts dept guys said he's gotten "hundreds of calls" from people looking for the Jeep brand mats. So to anyone thinking they might find a set somewhere: Nope. Don't bother. I called all over the US.
You'd think they would have made a better option for the models with captain's chairs and no 2nd row console. For a company that takes so much pride in all the engineering and test fitting they supposedly do, their offering is pretty pathetic for the whole rear of the car.I have 2nd row captains chairs and all seem to fit well for me. The 3rd row mat extends into the empty space in between the second row captains chairs but only part way.
how is it revised? What did you request?I've been in contact with Weather Tech and the product development team designed a revised third row mat. They shipped it to me and should arrive in 7-10 days. I'll provide an update when the new part has arrived.
I thought about that same quandry re the cargo mats. In my Xrterra, I found buying those carpeted commercial grade door mats and cutting them to fit worked well, so I might try to find a way to fit them to the 3rd row seatbacks. It's tough b/c of the 'flap' that covers the seat back as it folds up and down. Otherwise I thought about buying the weathertech large cargo matt and cutting it up.how is it revised? What did you request?
I just ordered 3 row mats and a full cargo mat.... went back and fourth between getting the behind 2nd row cargo mat or the behind 3rd row. Decided on the behind the 2nd row mat and may cut it in 2 pieces so that can take the front chunk out and use the 3rd row.
