Warmup fast idle speed

Is anyone experiencing a fast idle speed (1500 RPM) when starting your vehicle first thing in the morning? This recently started happening along with a decrease in fuel mileage and the speed limit in my HUD displaying incorrect speeds. Someone on another forum stated that Jeep recently did an OTA update to warmup the vehicle more quickly to improve emissions. Thoughts?

It's normal and happens with all vehicles until the catalytic converters warm up.

It just started about 3 weeks ago though and I’ve had the car about a year.

I'm with ya. Mine started doing it months after I took delivery. And it doesn't do it on every cold start. Very weird.

I just got it back from the shop. They said that it is “now” normal behavior.
