Ventilated Seats

I meant that I don't think the Overland has perforated seats. I am aware that it has ventilated seats. šŸ˜

I have the Capri leather / ventilated seats on my Limited, but also have Luxury Tech II package. It was something I really liked on my buddys Pacifica , so went with that package that included them.

I noticed the cooling not doing much soon after turning on my car. However as the interior of the car got a chance to cool down after driving around the ventilation in the seats got better (ie felt cooler). The inside air needs to be somewhat cool to get much effect from the ventilated seats unfortunately.

Do you have the Climate control on when using the vented seats? This is the 1st vehicle I've owned with vented seats and my vented seats don't blow cool air unless I have the climate control on. I'm not sure if that is normal or not.

That would be weird. Although it would make sense to have them blow A/C air, I would think they would work independently of the HVAC.

Now that Iā€™ve picked my Jeep up I have a better understanding of the hvac system and seats. Itā€™s been in the 90s here, and my ac gets so cold I have to turn the ventilated seats off and turn the air temperature up to be warmer. It gets colder much faster than my WK2 and does not need as much time to cool down from hot. It is nearly instantaneous. My build date is 5/31, and so far I havenā€™t had any issues granted Iā€™ve only just rolled 100 miles.

Yes I do have the climate control on. It is not controlled by the climate control but am sure that cooler air does help. I've run them upwards of 30 minutes at a time and no change.

Luckily this is the only issue I have and I am over 1k miles. This is not totally a problem, would like them to work especially being here in Texas but it doesn't affect the operation of the vehicle. Now, if I had a problem with my A/C at the same time, then it would be an issue. Will get it sorted out some time in the near future.

I understand now why you want to get the seats checked out. 100% agree that you should. They should definitely be getting decently cool if not cold. šŸ‘

I donā€™t know any manufacturers that have cooled seats that blow air through the seat. Most cooled seats pull air through the seat and out the bottom which creates a cool feeling as the humidity and moisture is pulled away from the skin. If itā€™s super dry or there isnā€™t any moisture on your skin the effect doesnā€™t work quite as well. If you are sweating then youā€™ll feel like youā€™re sitting on an ac vent.
