So how do I get this update to work ? Isn't it supposed to be automatic ? I have tried several times to do it thru my Wi-Fi with no luck. This message pops up every time I shut off the ignition.

It doesn't need WiFi to update, it's needs a cellular connection. It's similar to how the phone app gets updates from the car.

1. the vehicle must be registered at time of purchase in order to activate the services. If dealer or yourself didn’t complete this you receive this message
2. If you don’t pay for the service after the free trial you will receive this message. The entire app stops if you don’t pay.
3. PS, they do not care if your vehicle was broken and at the dealer for the entire trial period and will not extend it for free. Some got lucky, me not so much.

At least they are not as bad as BMW yet… BMW installs heated seats and buttons but requires owners to purchase a subscription to turn them on despite paying for the hardware…

The update via WiFi never worked. Park in a good LTE cell service area and retry. If it fails take it to a dealer

All I keep getting when I open the app is this message. I took delivery last November .View attachment 3487
I have the same screen with my app, but I assume it’s due to the trial being done. Jeep customer service told me that in order to use the app, I need to pay a subscription. Hah. No thanks. I’d rather pay for two Netflix accounts - at least it would be for something I enjoy using.

Jeep app is a joke. They really put the carriage before the horse on that one. Add features and come up with a real price. For what they are charging they should be producing full length tv shows!
