Uconnect 8.4 inch version?

Anyone here with the 8.4 inch know what version Uconnect they are running? Mine seems to be a prerelease version and I cannot get the weather app to show up and i keep getting Notifications every time I turn the Jeep on about AOTA with no indication on which app is updating and nothing ever changes. I have sat in my driveway for like 30 minutes at a time with now change the following day. Any info would really be appreciated. Thanks

I also have the 8.4. My Weather app just flashes the screen when I push it. Does your Alexa app work?

I don’t have weather or Alexa or xm360 and I always get that aota message. Mine says services need to be activated but when I call jeep they say it already is active

You did have the latest software update installed? you may need to take it to a dealer and have it done if OTA is not working.

Dealer said they don’t know what the latest is. What a joke. I brought it to them for the high beam recall. Didn’t check it before I left and tonight realized the headlights still don’t work. Called jeep on the assist button to ask them if it shows they performed the service and they said it’s listed as done in the notes. My jeep app still says there’s a recall that needs to be performed. Gotta bring it back and wait another 2 hours. In other news someone from uconnect Level 2 called me this afternoon about my off road pages being missing and said that my vehicle was not (clocking into the servers) they were going to work on fixing that whatever that means but it could be causing a lot more issues then I know about. No receiving updates over the air and missing features in the radio.

I forgot to mention when I got the car back now my car play is glitching on and off randomly. That hasn’t been a problem in the 4 weeks I’ve had the vehicle and they updated my mileage to 26,000 so I’m that much closer to being out of warranty with a vehicle I purchased less then 30 days ago.

@JeepCares I just bought my 2021 GCL a week ago with 230 miles on it, my connected service don’t work, when I try to activate services in my car it always gives me and error message after typing my name and email, it’s also missing the Alexa and weather app, on the jeep app on my phone it’s missing vehicle health and gas percentage…. Can you assist me in getting a fix? I’ve called support and they have no clue what I’m saying

Did you try a factory reset under the settings? If so you will probably need to visit a dealer.

Yes I tried it, was on phone with level 2 tech and they said they had no idea, so they will escalate me to the next level, sounds like a video game 😂 and can someone tell me what geolocation is??? It’s saying it’s off and I can turn it back on with the head unit, I looked everywhere and nowhere in the unit has it, I’m also missing fuel and vehicle health on the app, it’s been a headache since I bought the car, the Yukon xl I traded in already sold lol

Went to dealer today and they had no idea what to do 🤷‍♂️It was there for 8 hours and nothing was done 😂 they said call jeep connect and that there is nothing they can do, what’s weird is on jeep connect website they have my address as I live in Michigan lol they said the activate services logo on the radio is nothing, also the market app, I was told jeep will delete those apps on next update and to just ignore it. As for Alexa and weather app that’s missing, my case is pending with them. The weird thing is I have all these services but can’t use them 🤷‍♂️

Dealer had it for over 30 days with uconnect/radio issues and even replaced the module and it did not help so it sounds like it is on the Jeep Connect team side. I am stating to wonder if maybe Weather and Alexa are not "designed" to work with the 8.4" systems.... As for the service you can see online, don't think you get all the ones shown. They are for the 10.1" system's, there is no navigation that I know of on the 21 GCL 8.4". I think they need to fix the site and only show what you should get with he system version you have.

Yup I’m starting to think the same, if you compare radios on jeep website it shows we are not supposed to get them

Half of my services work, The 4G hotspot won't register, and when i talk the connect people they im registered but the website says im not(I Get this error message seen below).
All this stuff is new for Jeep, wonder if we just have to wait it out. @Mak725

That’s weird!!I have the same notice that pops up! I activated my hotspot and it worked through AT&T but for some reason it never updates how much usage I have left on the trial, I know for a fact it should have been over with but it shows I never used, maybe that’s a good thing, free Wi-Fi hotspot 😂 another thing I noticed is for some reason they have my address on file but when I check the online page it still has me in Michigan where the car was built 😂 it says I’m not the owner 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone having this problem connected to their home network? Mine did two decent size updates as soon as I brought it online. No idea if that would help, just spitballing.
 
Im not sure how to do it, I hit the update button and it connects to my home network. But haven't seen anything happen to how to tell if its updating.
