Trailer Tow Page In Cluster

In the manual it mentions that there is an instrument cluster menu called “Trailer Tow” which should have a Trailer trip and Trailer brake menu.l (page 104). Has anyone gotten this to show up? When towing a U-Haul trailer last weekend it didn’t show up. Does it require a brake controller to be installed?

I looked on pg. 104 and could find no reference to for "Trailer Tow" menu item in instrument cluster. Maybe I have a different revision/version of the manual.

I’m looking at the PDF version of the manual. Its in the section “Getting to know your instrument panel”.

That is really weird. I have the
2022 GRAND CHEROKEE/GRAND CHEROKEE L
OWNER’S MANUAL
PDF (version 2) and it does not have that. Maybe it was in the 2021 Owners Manual. Oh well.

I have the Limited with the tow package, and I don't see it either. I also don't see the navigation item, even though I have navigation and it's still active.

Oh funny if I go into the Jeep app and download the PDF again the Tow Pages are gone. They must have cut that feature.

Ive towed a couple of times a while ago.. features like telling you a tail light is out did work.. But thats about all I saw

I just noticed 3rd the edition of the PDF version of the Owners Manual is now available for download. It also has no info about Tow information in the instrument cluster. either Also the new manual version has 8 fewer pages then the 2nd edition. I haven't looked to see what has been deleted yet.

Compared with the version I originally downloaded in September the latest one has 23 less pages.

Must be taking more features away that don't work.

This thing sure has a 'rushed to market vibe'. It was also supposed to display the speed limit in the HUD, but doesn't unless you have a SR. It also used to mention 'projector headlights' which NONE of the trims actually have. I wonder if they've deleted all those references now.

Interesting. I’ve been trying to access the Owners Manual on my Jeep App and the mobile website as well as desktop website for the last couple of hours and it won’t show me a result. Must be updating again??
