Learning curve at first for sure, left tail was my first and made some mistakes so I’ll be redoing it when I get more vinyl. Light output is great, the photo with lights on-left tail is tinted while right is not. Left the reverse lights open. Did the front markers as well but didn’t currently have enough left to do the rear lower markers but will soon to match the tails.
This is what I used

Looks really good.

Question: Did you ever remove the tow hitch cover? It doesn't seem to line up with the rest of the bumper?

Yes, we have removed it. And it’s kinda fidgety, whenever we get a car wash it seems to tweak a little bit and my wife had just gotten it washed.

Did you not do the red above the rear bumper for any reason? Here's the back of mine. Seeing yours, maybe I do need to darken up the tail lights. What was it you used? It looks like it kind of has a honeycomb look to it.

I didn’t have enough material left to do the rear markers, plan on doing them this weekend. The link for the product I used is in the original post

Just had a reputable tint shop tell me the headlights and taillights are impossible to do as the curvature would require two pieces. They’ve done tons of work for me but I was surprised by this. Did you guys install with a single piece?

My left tail I tried as one piece and it was a PITA, and hence ended up with some creases and air bubbles if you look close. The right tail I did in 3 pieces (4 if you count the red area on the hatch(reverse lights are untouched)). I did the whole top red line in one piece, then the lower right side white area-where it kinda pops out-and then the left side white area where it’s more flat. I taped each section off and tried to keep the “seams” where the “valleys” of the contours are to make it the least noticeable. From a few feet back I think both lights look good, but up close the left really bugs me and I’ll be redoing it. The right I think I will leave.

Didn’t realize how much definition these lights had. Luckily the film I used was easy to stretch with a heat gun, long as you don’t stretch too much

Looks great! I have a bright white jeep so I am thinking I might try to find the white perforated vinyl for the side markers instead of black but I do like the slightly darker (not blackout) tint of yours.

Not trying to be a nanny, just asking; I thought it was illegal to do this? Also, while I understand the want to make the red seem darker and not stand out as much, the point of taillights and stop lights is to warn someone behind you of what you are doing, making it less noticeable seems ... well... kind of dumb. But that is JMO.

There are many mods that are considered “illegal.” But as with most of these it’s form over function. I’m personally a huge fan of the lights, especially for the side reflectors and bumper reflectors

The light output is great even with the tint on, i would be very surprised if I got pulled over. Did you look at the picture with the running lights on? The left tail is tinted and the right is not, pretty similar.
