So Many Problems

I purchased my 2021 GCL in July 2021 after stalking it for months. It truly is a beautiful vehicle, however.... I've had nothing but problems with it since day 1:
  1. Uconnect error was on vehicle at purchase, a missing part was out of stock nationally, which took 4 months to receive
  2. A rattling noise is heard in the cabin. Dealer first said it was the sunroof, then one of my chairs was loose, then it "was coming from the engine." This issue is still outstanding.
  3. A whistling noise was coming from my driver window. This was resolved.
  4. 3 recalls since purchase, all resolved.
  5. Uconnect screen was damaged by dealership; replaced, but still occasionally glitchy. This issue is still outstanding.
  6. My engine is now knocking.
I am at my wits end with this vehicle, which has been a problem since Day 1. I am wondering if anyone else has had these issues. ATP, I've contacted FCA for a replacement or repurchase. This is not what I expect from a brand new vehicle.

In addition to all the above, on 3 occasions, the vehicle incorrectly and dangerously detected a collision and slammed on breaks. There was nothing in front of me, no animal, no vehicle, no shadow.

Have you tried either of the following options per the owner's manual? Obviously you shouldn't have to disable the system but if it was my car doing what you've described, even once, I would be turning the system off. FCW- Forward Collison Warning

"Changing the FCW status to “Only Warning” prevents the system from providing limited active braking, or additional brake support if the driver is not braking adequately in the event of a potential frontal collision, but maintains the audible and visual warnings. Changing the FCW status to “Off” prevents the system from providing autonomous braking, or additional brake support if the driver is not braking adequately in the event of a potential frontal collision."

Wow!!! I have almost had the same issues. Everything but the wind noise and engine knocking. I feel the same way. Had noise from steering and parts were out of stock too me 4 months to fix as well. I had issues with u connect and cabin noise. Still happening after several visits to the dealer. They also changed my seat frames. Now my Jeep utility app doesn’t work. It’s never ending

Well, it could be worse. You could have bought mine.

I imagine mine will whistle with the windows down too, but here in Wyoming I haven't had a chance to drive it with the windows down since buying it in December '21. It's just one (*$%^ing thing after another with this car. New Uconnect took 2 months +, other stuff 4 months. Currently have the whole interior torn apart at the dealer chasing rattles.

Trying to get a replacement vehicle, but it's taking forever.

SMH. Im heading back to the dealership for rattle problems from my rear seats again, they supposedly fixed it after weeks in the dealership. Radio now makes a a pulsating hissing noise. I have to reset the unit every time to get rid of it. more issues added to the list. Let me know how you make out with yours.

I drove mine about 200 miles on Monday, and my Uconnect, with the latest software update, is now much improved (but still not 100%) with regard to CarPlay connecting.

My rattles in the door panels are worse than ever. The dealer took the door panels off and tried to figure it out, but made little improvement. The panel clips do have the rubber isolators, so that isn't my problem. I suspect it's in the actual seat memory switches and other sub assemblies in the panel (ie the switches are either defective, or the design is inherently defective in various sub-components in the door panel).

Many of the other electrical issues I've had over time only present at random, so it's hard to know whether they will return.

My 'trade assist' quasi-buyback deal is progressing, but I haven't been given numbers yet, so I don't know what that looks like, but I'm going to likely have a replacement sooner than later. I'm really hoping I can end up with the new I6TT motor, though. We'll see what they announce at NYAS in a couple of weeks.

Did a search for knocking noise and found this thread. Ours started knocking this weekend. I called the dealership and they said they have had others come in with it but no resolution for it.

Yeah, so many problems. Ours also have the knocking sound when gear in D, if I put it in N the knocking sound disappears. We also can hear rattling noise in the cabin.

My 22 WL 74 knocks somewhere under drivers seat between seat and pedals, when starting (about one second). Sounds like something banging against undercarriage. When car is completely warmed up the knock will still be there when starting but not as pronounced. Interestingly, it doesn't appear to knock when the autostart engages at a stop sign.
This is my first Jeep and there is also a clicking sound when the car downshifts into 4th gear. Same noise same time in downshift every time. It hasn't gotten any better or worse in 3k miles. Is anyone else experiencing this?
These are really the only two issues I have at this point and I am loving the Jeep!!!

My 21 Limited make the same knocking sound when stopped and in drive, shift to neutral the sound goes away. Any update on the cause.

This car is like a box of chocolates. Every time you start it, you never know what you're going to get. I've never 'named' my cars before, but we call ours "Forrest".

Couldn’t have said it any better. All that renowned Italian quality.
