Shift Light or on the limiter warning?

While messing around with the paddle shifters i noticed that the dash lights up red when you hit redline. Normally i would say that this is like my 2017 mustang that tells you SHIFT NOW! before you hit the limiter. But with the slow reaction of the paddle shifters it seems that once the dash turns all red it is too late and you are on the limiter. Will continue to play to see if there is any value to this notification. Would be nice if it flashed with enough time for the paddle shifters to actually shift. Maybe i am just too slow…

I don’t think the GCL was built with any type of performance mode despite it have a “sport” mode. Maybe v8 has a better chance of getting the indication. I occasionally will get the red tach when overtaking on on ramps. I just listen to the motor and she’ll let you know when it time to shift.
