Service 4WD-Grand Cherokee L Limited

I think ours has a similar tick/rattle from the front axel disconnect. We also randomly get serv 4wd lights and they go out after some time. I can't get the dealership to help since they can't seem to figure it out. How did they figure out it was the front axel disconnect?

Front axle disconnect

I have a short video of my vehicle on the lift (click FAD) and the tech was the one who made the diagnosis. I understand that the replacement part arrived today after speaking with service. I will be setting up a appointment to get this done and ideally the recall on the same visit.

Follow-up
My ’21 GC L had both the Front Axle Disconnect actuator/module replaced yesterday and the required recent recall. As I drove off from the dealership I immediately noticed that clunking noise was gone and the “Serv 4wd“ idiot light did not activate. Hopefully that’s the end of that issue for a long time.
