Do you have a link? I'd think friction would be adequate if it had a texture corresponding to the knob on the inside.
At least you were able to get a CAD price. That supplier doesn't ship outside of Canada. They're made in the US by Mobility Innovations, but I can't seem to get anyone to answer the phone there. I'll give it a few more tries. Thanks.
Went through the manufacturer to local reseller gauntlet and got the US price of $180 plus tax and shipping. At that price I could probably get it 3D printed myself, but I'll spend the money instead of the time. Having position feedback on the gear selector, other than the light indicator ought to be standard.
