Replaced GCL? What did you get?

You are a brave man… or crazy. Haha
Maybe both. Also, I can only buy American or Subaru unless I'm willing to drive to the Japanese dealers 100 miles away (400 miles for diagnosis and subsequent repairs), or most of the euro dealers are 300 miles away (1200 miles for d&r). Jeep dealer is 3 miles away. I've had a lot of cars from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, even Porsche and Bentley, and I'm not in love with any new cars enough to deal with that kind of driving for repairs. I'd consider the new Sequoia though, just because it would rarely need to go to the dealer.

I haven't seriously considered one of those since they don't have enough towing capacity (5k vs 7.2k) and have no real off road capability (which I need for work in Wyoming).

The MDX is a nice car if you're not towing or off-roading, and don't need as much space as the 3 row GC, and want Honda reliability vs the German brands (which tow ~7.5k).

That said, the Germans are still arguably better enthusiast driving machines, as much as that matters for an SUV, but they depreciate faster because they're expensive to own out of warranty.

If you don't need more than 5k towing, and would rather have fewer problems and better resale, the MDX is a better buy.

There's tradeoffs with every option.

Anything but another GCL. I’ve owned two……. My first one and my last one.

Every and I do mean every day it’s a new and or different glitch. This POS was not and is not ready for prime time. It can not be fixed as all these glitches are intermittent and can’t be duplicated at the Stealer. Never seen anything like it . SMH

Funny, I am looking at a Q7 also. What do they charge for a lifetime powertrain warranty on a used one?

My GCL has been in service for 68 days since purchased in Aug. I tried to get jeep to buy back/trade and no luck so had to do the Lemon Law and now I just wait for the turn in date which should be soon.
I was told at the last dealer I was just at that every GCL or Wagoner that comes in for service HAS to have a STAR case which would be why it took so long this time. They even told me the early GCL's like mine are the ones with the weird issues not the later ones. Does not matter I am not getting another, love Jeep... HATE this one.

Looking to get a used vehicle, looked at a few Q7's but not sure yet.
Any insight on how you approached the Lemon Law case would be greatly appreciated. I have been denied buy back on my GCL Overland. I am hitting 150+ degrees around the console, 125+ on the touch screen and instrument panel of the dash. The vehicle is just hot all he time, regardless of temp settings. We have had 4 tickets for the center console heat issues with no fix, and the vehicle has been in service for about 25 business days. Lemon Law for my state is 4 attempts to fix the same problem, or more than 30 business days cumulative (which we fall short today today). Did you use a lawyer for the Lemon Law case?

Ohio is also 30 days in service (no difference if it was business not not). I tried to use the Mopar Arbitration because I was told to use that first in the state but I don't think I really needed to. Did not work anyhow and I did get a lawyer. FCA paid me back and paid the lawyer fees so it did not cost me anything. I am now just waiting for the turn-in date and will meet them at a dealer for them to take position of it and cut check. In Ohio they can't deduct milage so it does not matter the amount as long as you are under the 18k when started the case.
