Recirculated air smells just like the outside air please help

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue my wife and I bought one of the first batches of the Grand Cherokee l limited when they were released and no matter what when the recirculated air is on and we pass anything smelly outside such as a cow farm or construction etc it's literally like the recirculated air is off and it's pulling directly from outside, our 2018 Grand Cherokee absolutely never had this issue is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you changed both your in-cabin air filter & your regular air filter?
