Anyone else rear hands free stop working? I can no longer use my foot to open the rear of the damn vehicle. I have tried every which way possible tk get it to work but it won’t. Stopped working about a week ago. Same version of the platform. No changes…that I’m aware of

Mine and others on here report it working maybe 50% of the time. I've had a new sensor on backorder since December, and Customer Cares says there's no ETA yet on parts availability.

Mine works all the time. You have to find the sweet spot, which is just to the right of the left edge of the panel of the cover that hides the hitch. Kick forward/rearward.

No sweet spot on mine. I can stand there with hands full of groceries and do an entire performance of Riverdance in the grocery store parking lot and nothing happens besides applause from the guy who collects the shopping carts.

Out of curiosity/troubleshooting efforts, does your car have problems with the Uconnect or other systems? I think this is part of a root level defect with something in my bus system. I and others have too many random problems on my car to think otherwise.

I did have a communications problem with the app. That was corrected. However, my auto lift gate has worked since day one.

I was just talking with a client who said she's having a lot of the same Uconnect and liftgate issues on her '21 WK2 GC. The '21 Chrysler minivan I rented when I was in Florida for a couple weeks last month had Uconnect CarPlay issues too. I'm assuming they use the same control systems/architecture company-wide, across brands, so this seems to be a very broad problem, not isolated to the WL platform.

I pretend to kick the Jeep CEO in the groin with authority and mine works every time. Center line of the door and kick swiftly front to back, like a swift kick to the groin, about shin deep at the bumper.

Read the owner manual (again.) It says the key fob has to be within 5 feet of the lift gate. Now, with it in my pocket, it works everytime!

Of course if you have slop....snow, ice, mud on that sensor...just forget it. It is NOT going to work! When I took delivery of my 2021 GC Overload my Son & the sales guy were trying to make it work. The fob was laying in the console. No go.

Mine doesn't care about any of that. The dealer confirmed it was defective back in December, and they still can't get the part (sensor).
