I have the GCL Summit Reserve and was wondering if there is one single owner, just one that doesn’t have intermittent albeit regular issues with the infotainment system. If it’s not one thing it’s another and with the issues being intermittent taking it to the dealer is useless( the old could not duplicate routine) Today i went to church ( need religion after owning this thing, lol)and had to reboot this thing 3 times on the trip while trying to use car play. The music selector on the steering column quit twice as well which will only reboot when the engine shuts down, then it’s fine … for a while til it isn’t again.
Not to mention the memory seats which have never work properly, the inadvertent emergency braking , the emergency brake locking up and not releasing and on and on. I have NEVER not once driven this vehicle without one glitch or another rearing it’s ugly head
I have a Cadillac Lyriq ordered to replace this piece of junk but I’ve got to put up with it until the Spring of 23.
I sure hope it’s a better purchase than this has been…. a costly mistake but one that guarantees I’ll never own another Stellantis product.

owned ours for a year now zero issues with the radio/uconnect system. Zero issues with memory seats after my initial reset I had the dealer do because they would continue to move backwards after getting into the vehicle.

Your emergency brake problem sounds like you have the setting for automatically engage e-brake, you should probably disable that if you don't understand how it works.

I have found after a year of ownership and being on this forum and other groups, 99% of problems are people not knowing how to rtfm. The other issues are usually physical problems that a mechanic can fix.

You are living a charmed life, cuddos to you. There are many unhappy owners out there experiencing the exact same issues I am.
Sadly i do understand how the E brake works but again due to the intermittent nature of this and other issues dealer continues to state could not duplicate.
Like a rat on a wheel. I’ll just be glad to be rid of it.

If the dealer can't duplicate that means it's more than likely a user error. I have read thousands of posts from people and very rarely do they result in an actual problem being fixed by the dealer. It's usually just education for the user.

Wrong in this case as I’ve been down that road with the dealer many times and I am well versed in the operation of all the vehicle components including the infotainment system. It is ABSOLUTELY not operator error !!!!!! I repeat it happens intermittently that’s why they can’t fix it.
Btw I’ve had said vehicle for 1 year so I’ve had loads of time to familiarize myself with all aspects of the vehicles operation.
Really glad you’re not experiencing issues, hope it continues.

Never click the seatbelt, lol.
you should probably use a seatbelt. It will stop you from becoming a projectile in an accident, it's also the trick to get the ebrake to properly disengage. But you are already familiarized with all aspects so what do i know....

You obviously don’t know much but I do appreciate you pointing out all the virtues of seatbelt use, duh. Thanks for the sarcasm though.

I now have a new issue to report. My 13-month-old SR with 6400 miles will have to go into the shop again. It has spent over 30 days in the shop over the past years with a myriad of issues that I thought had been finally resolved until I went and started it tonight. I now have no radio sound or voice command for navigation. It just says it is listening. The radio looks like it is playing, the McIntosh needles are bouncing as they should but there is no sound. I started and restarted the car, did several system reboots, and still no sound. Any thoughts?

When the POS radio acts up on my 13 month SR (which it does regularly) the only thing that works for me is to do a reset by simultaneously holding down the volume/station buttons until it turns itself off. Most of the time that does the trick though sometimes it’ll take a couple of tries. GLTU.

Yes, I am aware of the reboot process. It does not work this time.
