Radio Isses

I usually have that function turned off, so the engine is still running but only happens when I take off
Alright so just got a call from dealership. I took it in yesterday and it’s still in there today. Their instructions are to clear store code that is present and not to replace the camera or the radio. There is going to be a software update within the quarter to eliminate the position because they are having multiple people report the problem.

As far as my car stuttering when shifting gears they are going to take it out for another test drive and see if they can feel it do it because of course “it’s not happening” so I told the service advisor to take it for a little drive and not just around the corner.

But atleast the radio solution should be resolved soon if not already!!

Keep me posted if that radio preset button issue was resolved! Ours is still not working correctly, absolutely no contact from my dealer still! I will be calling them next week. 3 weeks ago traded my 2015 Wrangler and got a 2021 Wrangler Willys...that button has worked flawlessly!

We had to reschedule so we go on 4/4 now. My car also is stuttering when I take off from being stopped so that’s new and will get that checked out as well
Did you ever get a remedy for the radio preset button? Ours is still acting up. I am trying a different dealer, the are going to remove the steering wheel and run a complete diagnostic on the wheel and steering column.

Well, just picked up the GCL today from the dealer. They have ordered a new steering wheel harness after flashing the BCM did not work for the button issue. The harness will be installed this coming Friday.

OK, the harness replacement did not work, the preset button is still intermittently not working. Apparently they ordered "another part" to throw at it. Until next time....

The wife's GCL Altitude is going back to the dealer....again, on Monday. They are going to replace the column wire harness this time. We shall see if this actually works.

OK, the button worked for 5 days and then of course, stopped working...again. Apparently the dealer must exhaust all options before requesting a tech from the manufacturer to come out to inspect the issue. We continue the waiting game...

Well, it's been a few months and we still have the same issue. On the latest dealer visit (first week of February) they kept the wife's GCL for a few days (while the button was not working) and performed a huge media update (they said hours to install). The button worked for about 2 weeks, and then out of blue, NOT working for a few days. Apparently then want to keep it again for about a week and now want to communicate with the factory. This is never ending!

Well, we are dropping off the GCL at the dealer...again, this Friday. They are keeping it for a week...again, to see if they can actually figure out what the heck is going on with this radio present button. It now works more often than not, but still will stop working randomly at anytime. To be continued....

So, the dealer had it for a week and were in communication with engineers in Detroit. The dealer did everything they were told, and still cannot figure out the radio preset button issue. We have the GCL back and apparently Jeep is sending an engineer out here to IL to personally inspect our GCL within the next few weeks. The story goes on....

Stellantis engineers cause more issues that they solve...a bunch of useless floaters.

So, the wife's GCL Altitude went back to the dealer on Oct 4 and they performed a 3 hour update. Since then, the radio preset button on the steering wheel has worked! I am still waiting for the day it stops working, but for now it seems all good.

Well, it has been 3 months...and the button is still working!!! Whatever update the dealer did in conjunction with Detroit seems to have worked.
