hello,

I just picked up my GCL this week and still getting used to it. But when I first got it I could seek through my stations programmed under the media tab. I have 15 XM stations programmed and when I hit the button on the back of the steering wheel on left hand side it doesn’t seem to seek through the stations anymore. Has anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?

It would be awesome if they could update the software so you could customize what the behind the steering wheel buttons do! I so want a pause button back there!

We are having the same issue with our GCL Altitude. The "preset" button does not work most of the time, however all other radio buttons on the back of the steering wheel work just fine. I did read somewhere else that Gladiators had the same issue, and there was a pinched wire inside the switch. We are taking ours back to the dealer so they can inspect the switch.

Or that you could scroll either way on the presets! I hate that you can go only up! My old Explorer you could go up or down your presets from the steering wheel.

Thanks. Lmk if they fix it for you. I just manually reset my radio everytime it happens. My car dealer didn’t hear anything about it but hoping there is a fix to it soon but if they can fix yours I’ll make an appointment for mine

Well, of course the button was working when I brought it in last Wednesday and they said there was nothing could find wrong. It worked fine up until yesterday, all day the preset button did not work. Now I will take a video with my phone and show the service department that in fact does not work all the time.

Wow that’s unfortunate. But yea take a video. I sent one to my car salesman when it happened and he never heard of it before. I’ve just been resetting the radio everytime it happens and then it fixes the problem for now. Just hope it doesn’t lead to bigger issues.

Well, took the GCL to the dealer today. Of course, the button did not work yesterday, but when I pulled up to the dealer it was working. I did send 3 different videos showing the button not changing the presets. My dealer is ordering a switch/button pod, so hopefully the preset button will work fulltime after the replacement....to be continued!

As soon as I pulled out of the gas station....the button DID NOT WORK! I immediately called the dealer, and of course they have no idea what could be causing that one button not to work and said they would open a case with Jeep. Now on Monday, my wife said the button works. Anyone else having this issue with the preset button on the back of the steering wheel?

I take mine in on 2/28 to see if my dealership can figure it out. I took it there one night when the issue was happening and the guy had no idea, said he would talk to his service mgr in the morning and I never got a call back. Even called and he wasn’t available and still never got a call back. So I made a report with FCA and they just made me the appt on 2/28. So we will see then. When it stops working I just reset it and then it starts working for a week or so then stops again.

Keep me posted! I wish I could figure it out, but there seems to be no reason why it will work for a week and then with no warning stop working. We have 3 other FCA vehicles and the button works perfectly on all those.

I agree. This is my 3rd Grand Cherokee with this one being the L and the only one I’ve had issues with.

Any update on the preset button from the dealer? Our dealer still says they don't have a remedy (AKA-no idea what's wrong), and it is still doing the same thing...working then not working.

We had to reschedule so we go on 4/4 now. My car also is stuttering when I take off from being stopped so that’s new and will get that checked out as well

Oh man, that's not good. Is it stuttering after the engine restarts from the auto-off or from just from all stops?

I usually have that function turned off, so the engine is still running but only happens when I take off
