How is the ride compared to your old Audi? I am assuming you got the V8 with SR
I can compare it to my recently departed '17 Q7. The V8 feels always as quick as the turbo 6 that was in the Q7. Not quite there, but close, but much louder with the V8.
Overall handling of the SR V8 isn't even close to the Q7. The Q7 drove much closer to a sports car, where this is much more twitchy. It seems to do a good job eating up the bumps, but the steering just has a completely different feel. This drives much closer to my wife's recently departed Acadia Denali (we put her in a GW III) than to my Q7.
Seats were softer/cushier, and also more grippy in the corners on the Q7, where these are a bit firmer and feels like you slide in them a bit more in turns. The massaging is better in the GC than the Q7.
Audio was better in the Q7 (I paid the $5k premium for the B&O setup), but overall tech is MUCH better in the GC, granted it's a five year difference and next generation of stuff. The HUD is better and shows more in the GC, and while the Q7 had something similar to the lane assist that the GC had, in the Audi it could only be active below 45 (meant for bumper to bumper traffic).
There is a definite downgrade in handling, but overall, I'm VERY pleased with the GC.
