Questions Before Ordering

I am so thankful I found this forum. I am about to order a 2022 2-Row GC Summit with the V8, 19-speaker, Protech and Luxury Group V. Colors are black on Tupelo. Can you add the secondary passenger display? Any other options that I can get that are not on the site? I initially wanted the Midnight Sky Blue but they said there is no ETA on it will be available.

Cheers!

I know that the Display is standard with the Summit Reserve Package, the Passenger display is an option, but it might not be available to order yet due to production constraints, I would check with your dealer at the time of order.

I believe the passenger screen option has been available for a little while, but last I heard, the rear entertainment screens still are not.

If you’re already getting the upgraded audio and are interested in the passenger screen, you might consider stepping up to Summit Reserve:

Summit Reserve Package — includes premium hand- wrapped Palermo leather seats, leather-wrapped armrest and door trim, open-pore Waxed Walnut wood trim, suede pillars and headliner, ventilated front- and second-row seats, memory and massage front seats, front passenger interactive display with 10.25-in. touchscreen, premium 19- speaker McIntosh audio system, 21-in. wheels and Summit Reserve badge

I think I am doing that actually! The difference in price is about $900 plus I get 21" wheels too

Is it worth it to get the Protech pack?
I got it (because I selected all options on my SR)… I can’t remember which one that is—if it’s the heads-up display, I figured it was worth it for sure because I love it in my Audi. It’s very handy to see your speed & nav without looking down.

ETA: Yeah, for the heads-up, I think it’s a good value. Heads up alone is nice to have but with the night vision detection, I’d say it’s worth it if you plan to keep it for a while. I limo tint all my windows, and, for me, any assistance to spot pedestrians or whatever at night is potentially a strong risk management reason to purchase.

How is the ride compared to your old Audi? I am assuming you got the V8 with SR

For Summit, ProTech is Heads-Up Display, Night Vision, and the Digital Rearview Mirror.

I really like the idea of not having to take my eyes off the road to check my speed; where I live, you really need to be watching for deer and elk; and from videos I‘ve seen, the digital mirror looks like a real boon at night, increasing the brightness of things behind you while also preventing you from getting a faceful of headlight reflections. I‘m ordering it on mine.

Would you go with the SR for $4k more?
Why have the base price, engine, tech and lux upgrades, and even gas all increased in price on the SR? That’s $1500 of the difference right there, for literally nothing! The difference (since you already had the audio added on the non-SR) should be the “Preferred Package” price on the SR minus the audio on the non-SR: $2686.

Have no idea. It's very odd
BTW. I'm getting both at 6% under invoice price.

Thanks iniwll try that. It seems high. 900 bucks increase maybe. The non SR quote was from 01/01
Ah… I was wondering about that, but there are no dates on the PDF. There was an overall price increase right around that time, so that non-SR price may no longer be valid. If so, well, that’s all the more reason to go with the Summit Reserve… and 6% under invoice is great in any case. (My own order—for a 4xe—is only a little below MSRP.)
