Quadra Lift Air Suspension on 2022 WL74 (2-row GC)

Hi all,

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the quadra lift delete on the 2021 GC L.

I know it was due to a chip shortage but part of me feels like it was also done to also ensure that the 2-row version had enough chips to have quadra lift for its trim levels. Especially the trailhawk. And also most off roading enthusiasts I am assuming would prefer the 2-row.

I feel Jeep's actual thinking was "How many people buy a 3-row SUV and go off roading?" but perhaps they didn't want to say it out load and alienate a group of its customers. In a perfect world with no chip shortage I'm sure both would have quadra lift and all would be fine but I suspect the 2-row GC will always have priority over the 3-row GC L especially in the times we live in now.

Maybe its just wishful thinking on my part since I ordered a 2-row and am hoping and praying that it will come with the quadra lift air suspension. Same goes for the elsd.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts or am I just way out in left field with this one

I didn't think someone who wants to go off-road would want the air suspension. It has limited travel and is also one more thing that will break and leave the stranded.

The air suspension imo is perfect for driving around town and highway. Also the entry/exit feature is built for normal people. The ride is so smooth.

I have posted a couple of notes on this subject in other threads, QL was not deleted due to availability.
It was deleted for profit reasons. Blaming it on parts availability was the easy excuse, but it seems the cost on the system went too high for Jeep and they cut it from the lower Overland/Summit configurations.
They kept the QL on all 2021 V8 and/or Summit Reserve. And as soon as the 2022 L Overland/regular Summit V6 became available for order (with over $2K more in price) then QL is back on the standard features.

it functions well for around town like the reasons that you mentioned.

However, it also has advantages for off roading. Such as ground clearance and suspension travel.

But like you said reliability and maintenance cost are an issue, but I'm sure we would both rather have the air suspension even with that downside lol

Okay cool so seems like my suspicions are backed up by what you're saying. Most definitely a reasonable business decision on jeeps part
