Quadra-Lift Air Suspension No longer Available

I hope I am wrong, I really do. By the looks of it, the Air Suspension is no longer available on any future orders for WL75s. Not only has the price lowered again, but Quadra-lift suspension is not showing up on the "Build & Price" tool on Jeeps website. This also coincides with what was said on the Grand Cherokee L Facebook group earlier in the week. My dealer has also said they are forced to select "Quadra-lift Delete" on any order they placed from Friday and beyond. What remains to be seen is if current sold orders with a VIN will get the air suspension or adaptive damping. If mine does not have air suspension when it comes in I will not accept it. Thats one of the best parts on the Grand Cherokee!

I do see the quadra lift air suspension on the standard equipment list for summit reserve. Like you said if it doesn't have that feature, I'll also not accept it.

Who will know about this? My dealer isn't able to confirm nor is Jeep customer care.

One more time, the Quadra Lift air suspension system has not been removed. Adaptive Damping is what has been removed. The price was reduced by $200. If it was because they removed the Quadra Lift, the price would have to be reduced a hell of a lot more. Please don't quote that Facebook post. The original poster was not clear from the getgo as to what he was saying. Then the discussion went in so many directions including, the Adaptive Damping, Elsd, Quadra Lift , etc. removals to the point that my head was spinning. I still have no idea what the originator was trying to say.

Don't ever take for gospel what a dealer says. After buying about 45 new vehicles in my lifetime, when walking into a dealership, more often than not, I am more well versed compared to the salesmen when it comes to prices, standard equipment, options, incentives, etc. They don't have a clue what they're selling.

Now, on the other hand, if by chance, your dealer is correct, I will not accept delivery on my Reserve when it comes in if the Quadra Lift is not included. I'm pissed enough about them eliminating the Elsd without even notifying anyone.

Can you please help me understand what I am going to miss if the adaptive damping is being removed? What does adaptive damping do?

I honestly hope you are correct. When my dealer built it out, it was actually $700 cheaper not $200 as quoting on the website. I also don’t understand why Jeep would remove Quadra-lift air suspension in the “build and price” section when it was there last week. Here is a screenshot a Summit Reserve build on the website.

Adaptive damping if anything like magnaride from Chevy will be amazing in ride quality difference. Wife has an early GCL SR and it rises really nice. No body roll and handles bumps effortlessly. Now, I have never driven the GCL without adaptive damping, but i have with the Yukon/Tahoe and it was night and day different.

I just spoke with my salesman. Told him about the rumor that Air Suspension has been deleted. As I suspected, he didn't hear anything about it. He went into his order system and attempted to build a Summit Reserve. All the numbers indicated that the Air HAS NOT been deleted. He also did not get any messages indicating the deletion. Hopefully, this will put this rumor to bed.

Sorry its not a rumor. Confirmed by my salesperson and by another dealer over on the Facebook forum earlier today. I will link the post below.

LOL @ $750 credit for removal of air suspension. It's thousands of dollars in parts.

Honestly I don't understand what Jeep is thinking by choosing to build vehicles missing parts and features compared to how they were ordered. It's not even that these were optional added packages. Jeep has straight up started building vehicles that deviate from all marketed specs and trim levels. Even more insane they are doing this without buyer approval.

If they don't have parts to build vehicles as ordered they should not build the vehicle. Communicate delays to the customer and offer option to keep delay, cancel, or move to a modified order.

If they don't have parts for air suspension just build more Laredo or Limited....

750 for air suspension delete? Unreal!

The fact that they are deleting it without prior notification is bad enough. Now they're trying to make a couple extra bucks on giving their customers less? Shady business practice Jeep!

What a mess by Jeep for not being upfront on changes.
No way to know if these units that are being changed are dealer orders or customer orders
It seems all Overland V6 trims being built after 8/16 have the Air Susp/Activ Damping Delete Credit –$750
Which by the way is not clear if its the whole Air Suspension being removed or just the Active Damping function being substituted for semi-active damping.

Also, these latest builds have now this adder for Overland (a money grab since it is supposed to be standard on the 4x4):
Trailer Tow Prep Group $695 Trailer–Hitch Zoom
So the credit is basically 55 dollars :cautious:

All of these changes, regardless of the parts shortage are detrimental to the brand and to what they have offered. The starting MSRP in an Overland vs Limited is substantial to basically remove important features without a significant decrease.

One great example for @JeepCares to really clarify something in this forum, without having to ask for a DM.

Overland V6 from 8/21 with the Tow adder and Active damping credit:
Overlando V8 from 8/19:

JEEP CARES:

Let's see how useful you can be to us Jeep fans. This is a very important issue for both those that have pending orders as well as future buyers. First off, Jeep decided to delete Elsd without any prior notification. Now, there are other standard features that appear are being deleted. We are requesting you to provide a detailed explanation as to what is now being deleted to current orders. 1. Is it Adoptive Damping that is now deleted, or is it Adaptive Damping as well as Air Suspension. 2. Why are any of these features being deleted, without any prior notice to your customers. 3. Please explain the difference between Adoptive Suspension and Semi Active Damping.

Please do not attempt to give us a canned no information response.

We look forward to a timely and detailed response.

Wow! Happy I got my Overland when I did! I’m sorry for you folks that aren’t getting what you wanted - maybe the 2022s will be fully built. Fingers crossed for you guys.

All this is exactly why I didn't wait for a V8 order and took a loaded V6 instead. I knew that they would run out of parts after the initial run. Sorry to everyone that is having orders changed. This is happening everywhere.

It’s funny you say that - I pulled the trigger on a loaded Overland because I saw that Jeep was pumping out “high demand” models and felt a factory order was a risk. Good luck to everyone - if you have to wait extra I’ll say this: it’s worth it, esp since many of you have SR’s coming!
