Plant closing?

Hello, I was told this morning by Jeep Chat that the plant that builds the Grand Cherokee's is now down for 8 weeks, anybody know why ?

Hello, I was told this morning by Jeep Chat that the plant that builds the Grand Cherokee's is now down for 8 weeks, anybody know why ?

Retooling for the WL 74 and related variants.

Update; So after my original post i contacted jeep cares by phone, the person who I talked to said she knew nothing about any plant closing and someone would get back to me, other than 1969 300's post above i can honestly say I have no idea what's going on.

Stellantis Detroit plant that makes Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango down for retooling

The Jeep plant, formerly known as Jefferson North Assembly, will produce the new version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as the Dodge Durango.

You're welcome. The new Mack Assembly Plant next door has started building WL 74s in December
