Parking sensor

So last night I managed to get in an accident where scrap metal was falling off the truck in front of me. Nothing too serious but the front two parking sensors were knocked out of place. I took it to the dealership this morning because I couldn’t find any way to put the sensors back in the clips because of how enclosed everything is. Y’all…when I tel you they sent the owner of the dealership out to talk to me with the service manager…I knew I was about to get some good news….joke. The owner told me…and I quote…”mr mauldin, we are going to have to schedule you to come back in two weeks. This will give my technicians enough time to read up on the removal of the bumper and accessories of the L. We’ve never pulled a bumper before so this is a learning experience”. I just stared at him, thanked him for his honesty but also said I will not be a Test dummy anymore with the jeep. So, now I have a very nice Overland that constantly beeps because it thinks I’m about to hit a wall. Managed to turn off the emergency brake function and turn down the sound but I cannot turn off the parking sensors. This is where part 2 comes in….”me. Mauldin, Youbhave the park sense feature that can be turned off. Let’s go check this out and send you on your way….parking sensor button above the uconnect screen…does nothing. So now I have two holes in the bumper where the sensors popped loose, dealership needs to educate themselves on this, the park sense button does nothing and I’m driving around with a pretty nice looking overland that beeps constantly. Parking this SOB until March 22nd when they will be educated.

The forward collision avoidance system in my 2021 Grand Cherokee L does not work (the car is equipped with it) and the dealership can't figure out what is wrong. A yellow warning light on the dashboard lights up telling me the system is off when I start the engine but then it disappears and it's supposed to be working normally but it doesn't. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, my vehicle has been with the dealership twice now for over 14 days today. The feature still does not work. They said, that since the adaptive cruise control on the vehicle works then the fcw and break assist works. They opened a claim with star and had to reprogram with a code. They have not physically been able to verify the option working and the service refuses to test drive it to verify due to liability reasons. I set a meeting with the GM and Owner and they tried to push me onto another vehicle. They said, this is a known issue and basically told me without saying it, that the feature does not work and they don't know how to fix it.

Wow. I don't know what to say. I'm supposed to pick up the car tomorrow after 4 days at the dealership. I will update this post with the news I get from them. Thanks, Twaller!
