Good to know, I've been putting the car from drive to neutral and back again. Next time I bump the thing, I'll try your solution - thanks for the input.
I like the paddles, but couldn't figure out how to put it back in 'D' mode (full auto) after engaging them. Good to know holding the right paddle reverts it back.
I can disable it manually when I accidentally hit it now, but I will have to remember to warn anyone else who may drive it from time to time. (Because I was stuck in 1st and had to pull off the road, turn off the engine and restart it the first time it happened. 🤦♀️ I had no idea what was going on 😳)

Not ideal, but you can also just put it in neutral and then back in gear while you're driving. No need to pull over and stop. But apparently the (totally unadvertised) proper solution is to pull back and hold the right paddle?
I would think they should have made the shifter with a 'push down' option to toggle modes from 'drive' to 'sport auto' to 'manual'.
