Paddle Shifter Issue

Today, as I was slowing down to make a turn, my engine began to rev. I looked and my tranny was in manual mode. Don't know if I inadvertently hit the left paddle. Anyway, I held the right paddle down which should put the tranny back in Auto mode. It doesn't work. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

My GCL was doing the same. The right paddle shifters would engage manual mode but then pressing it would gear up, and press and hold wouldn’t let me exit from manual mode. Dealership replaced my right paddle shifter. It was also causing to fire service transmission message

“Service Transmission” message

I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee L Limited with 12,300 miles on it. I’m getting a “Service Transmission” message that pops up for a few seconds and then goes away. I’ve gotten it 3 times so far, but can’t find any information about this message in the manual. Has anyone else here gotten this message?
