Overland tow hook removal?

Hey all, I'm looking to remove the tow hooks on my Overland so I can get them powder coated red. Has anyone tackled this yet? There's a rubber boot that surrounds the hook, once removed the tow hook is secured with two large fasteners right behind the bumper then it extends wayyyyyy back into the frame, threading in? Pics to come...

looks like there is a nut behind the bumper/support holding the tow hook in. you probably have to undo that nut and the 2 bolts beneath the rubber boot, then the hook looks like it would pull out the front

woof. That thing is buried! Maybe I’ll mask it off and plastidip for now. That or some large diameter shrink wrap in red.

I wonder if all of the models have the spots on the bumper support for this and it’s just a matter of switching out the grills.

The WK2s do. I added the tow hooks to my ‘18 Limited. I would assume the same would be for the WLs.

I've been trying to figure this out and I think the answer is no on the Ls. The Overland L has a very different front fascia than the others and I think the tow hook ports don't line up with the inserts, it's actually behind body paint colored components. And the Overland L's lower insert is shorter than the other trims which is why it has a greater max approach angle. I think we may be waiting for some aftermarker solutions for adding tow hooks to other models that offset them so they line up with the easier to modify fascia inserts.

I forgot to thank you for attaching this! Big nut #5 in the picture ultimately made my decision. I can already hear this nut dropping into the abyss and me not being able to reattach it without dropping the radiator.
Any time......
