Overland Off Road Package Skid Plates

I am working on an order for my 2 row overland that we're going to be ordering soon. I notice that NOBODY orders the off road package for the dealerships. We are coming out of a Trailhawk, so the skid plates are important. Are they the same skidplates as the Trailhawk? Otherwise, since we're ordering with the 5.7, the 230mm rear end is the same. The only other difference is the 18" wheels. What are your thoughts?

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Jeep is accepting orders for the Overland with the off road package.

Last I heard, the Off-Road Group package isn‘t available yet.

The description says it “includes skid plates, electronic limited slip differential rear axle, 18-in. polished aluminum wheels, all- season tires and Trail Rated badge.”

I tried to order a Hemi Overland with the off-road package a couple of weeks ago and it wasn’t available. You can order a regular Overland….doesn’t make sense to me.

Thanks for the responses. How weird. We're only talking about 18" wheels and skid plates since the 230mm rear end is included with the 5.7. :|

The ELSD is code DSF and this is included with the Off-Road Group which is code AM2. DSF is standard on the Trailhawk and the Summit, no other model has this as standard. I do not believe the Overland has it without AM2. It does not appear you can order AM2 on the Summit, only the Overland and of course this is standard on the Trailhawk.

AM2 OFF ROAD GROUP
• 18X8.0 POLISHED/PAINTED ALUM WHEELS (WLH)
• 230MM REAR AXLE (DR1)
• 265/60R18 BSW A/S ALL TERRAIN TIRES (TKH)
• ELEC LTD SLIP DIFFERENTIAL RR AXLE (DSF)
• FRONT SUSPENSION SKID PLATE (XEU)
• FUEL TANK SKID PLATE SHIELD (XEE)
• TRAIL RATED BADGE (MT2)
• TRANSFER CASE SKID PLATE SHIELD (XEF)

I just built an overland v8 with the off-road, luxury, tech, upgraded seats, and display on Jeeps website. The price has increased nearly $2K from last week..

You may be able to build it, but you still can’t order one with that configuration.

Jeep just (finally) updated the pricing on their website. It now matches what it was when I ordered my Trailhawk back on 1/24.

Thanks for this detail. So, since all of the other components are basically cosmetic, it seem that the DSF option is the limiting factor, based on electronics that are still in short supply for the AM2/Off Road package.
