I see other GCL's on the road with turn signal headlights orange strip always on while mine isn't. Is it something to do with the settings or the following recall here,

  • On November 17th, 2021, FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance recognized an
incomplete SLM software updates existed on certain vehicles resulting in one or both headlamps being
inoperable, potentially not in compliance with FMVSS No. 108.
Or I'll have to go back to 1st grade again?

Not sure. But I have an Overland where the light strip stays white and only turns orange with a turn signal. I’m thinking it may be a trim level thing, because I saw an altitude on the road with the orange strip.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure all the GCL’s that’s I’ve seen so far with the mentioned orange strip always on were either Limited and/or Altitude. Not sure about the Summit’s.

I wish the DRL was just the orange strips but when headlights are in auto mode they are he regular headlights.

I’m pretty sure my DRL are just my headlights. I haven’t really noticed any difference. Not sure if they run on low power for DRL and then change to high power for headlight mode but it appears that are the same bulbs. I could be wrong though.

This is on a Limited
