I guess I got REALLY lucky. When I did the Jeep website build (basically selecting all options including the Hemi), a window popped up asking if I wanted to search local. I selected within 150 miles and one with 7 of the 8 options popped up in transit to a dealer 60 miles away (it lacked the Mopar paint protection). I called and the sales guy checked on it and it showed complete, awaiting transportation to the dealer. I did a deposit over the phone. A month later it aarrived at the dealer and it was mine. I since added the OEM splashguards so I pretty much got exactly what I built on the website. Loving my GCSR!!

Deletion of a standard item on the vehicle you ordered (without your acceptance) is unacceptable. That would cause me to request return of my deposit. DO NOT ACCEPT LESS THAN WHAT YOU ORDERED. Legally you will be in the right. Giving you $400 for an item that must cost thousands of dollars will cost you when you go to sell the vehicle. How about you offer to give the dealership the $400 to add the eLSD. Do you think they would accept that?? They would laugh in your face.
Yes... but also it is very difficult to find cars right now, so you can take it or leave it, but if you leave it there are not many other options available. I was at the end of my lease for my 2019 GC and needed a new car by a specific date. I was able to capture a good amount of equity from the lease buyout and resale due to the used car market, but in order to find a new lease I had to accept some compromises.

I do understand but if you accept something less than what you paid for you could get burned when it comes time to sell the vehicle. If they paid the full cost of the deleted item than things would be different, I would think. Giving you $400 for the deleted eLSD is a ripoff. Without the eLSD on the Summit you no longer have QD2. The drive system becomes the standard QT2. Now what do you think the cost difference is between QT2 and QD2? Surely not $400.....

I think the whole deletions thing has been blown pretty far out of proportion. First, I don’t think there have been any confirmed deletions on any GCs delivered in the last several months. Second, I believe the confirmed deletions were all on GCLs. And third, I think they were all on 2021 models. If anybody knows different, I’d like to hear about it!
Just placed an order yesterday. I also unfortunately have the eLSD delete, air suspension is there however - I would absolutely refuse delivery if no air suspension but missing eLSD I can (barely) swallow. The manager said he will add a note to the build requesting eLSD to be added if possible but there isn't anything they can do beyond that. If anyone has a tip/trick of how to reach out to Jeep directly to request the deleted component be added back, I'm all ears.

Have both build sheet and window sticker. Going to run by dealership tomorrow to see if it was delivered per the 3/4 or thereabouts date. Hopefully will be picking it up soon
Stopped by dealer today. Currently sitting at KZS status.

Finally my Summit is in KZ status......shipped to the body vendor. Don't know how long that will be there before shipping.

Gotta clean it up first, lots of drizzly rain. Enough to make spray but not enough to wash the built up road grime away. The splash guards I installed last weekend do help.
I gotta get some too, mine is white so yeah... you already know lol

Finally received my Summit build sheet this morning. It comes fully loaded with NO deletions. Something I didn't expect was the inclusion of off road pages and integrated off road camera. I thought the plain Summit didn't get it. However, I don't see the brake hold function which would be nice. Anyway, delivery will be soon I would think. Very excited.

Oh one more thing. I thought the Headlights were Reflector type but the build sheet says Projector headlights. Can anyone confirm this?

Going by the Standard Features summaries in the build tool, Laredo through Trailhawk have ”LED Reflector Headlamps” and Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve have ”Bi-Function LED Projector Headlamps.”

That’s different from the Feature Availabilty docs, which list the first group as having “Premium LED reflector headlamps with integrated daytime running lamps (amber color) and LED taillamps” and the second group as having “Premium LED reflector headlamps with LED accent lighting / integrated daytime running lamps (bright white color) and LED taillamps.”

Sounds like maybe the build tool is right here.
