You might want to see if there are any available in your area with Quadra Drive. Should be available on most Overland or Summit/SR models with the V8 engine.

I think Rick means the removal of eLSD which is what makes the Quadra Trac into Quadra Drive.
Only a few units shipped with eLSD at the beginning, probably most are sold.

Thats correct. None available in my area or anywhere else. Doesnt make any sense to me. My son who has 4 daughters been waiting on a 3 seat Jeep but he is gonna buy something else. We all have had Jeeps and want quadra drive. Makes a big difference when you need it. You would think you could get it in the Overland or Summit.

Serious question. When do you need it?

He needs it soon. Sick of his expedition. If you order one they have no idea when it will be here or if you can even get it

If you order now it will come with it. If you order in 6 months will it? I don’t know. But I just read an article that said chip shortage for cars would extend to mid 22 and that is great news because everything I was reading for awhile said into 23 originally.

Haha. Sorry. I was talking about the elsd. I have a Summit Reserve on order and it won’t have elsd as far as I know. Am I going to miss it for normal driving? No off roading.

Normal driving you won't even know it exists. Only under difficult off-road conditions will it make a difference.

Where does it say elsd is still removed from the vehicle? I'm confused, I thought we were talking about the Quadra airlift which has been reinstated on the vehicle.

When you get the summit/reserved or overland+off-road package you get the elsd.

I don't know what they ship on these vehicles anymore. I know at the end of 2021 only the summit reserve got the air suspension and the elsd. You won't find any overland with the elsd because the off-road package doesn't exist. You will find overland with air suspension but you have to check the sticker.

I'm 2022 I think they might be adding these things back in but no one knows yet. Unless you are sure you want the elsd I wouldn't worry about it. The air suspension is really nice though.

The summit does not come with elsd. They do have air suspension. Elsd was supposed to come as standard equipment on summit but as of now it doesnt. Air suspension just raises body up and down. Elsd is for traction. I have air suspension on 1500. Also on the 1500 you have a choice between a limited slip rear differential or a rear locker. Quadro drive gets you the else and its not available

Just a letter out of place. I think if you know jeeps you should know what we are talking about. The main point is unless the window sticker states quadrA drive you aint getting elsd.

Only some initial units shipped in June of Summit/Summit Reserve had the eLSD as part of the included features. See the print capture.
Note they dont list Quadra Drive but Quadra Trac II + eLSD in separate lines.
Since early August they stopped including eLSD on any Summit or Summit R. Not even on V8, which does get the 230mm axle but no elsd.
And Overland Off road package has yet to be available, even on 2022 L

I don’t care so much about the off-road package… just give me the damn bench seat on the overland with the tech packages!! I can’t stand the fact that you can’t do both on the overland! Especially since with captains seats on overland it’s just an empty void between them. #TechForBench!

My take on this, is that these are conscious decisions by Jeep that have nothing to do with parts availability but are aimed to limit variability and inventory in the production process.
Bench on Limited and Summit but not Overland has no particular reason but they do help avoid needing inventory at the plant of two more bench styles (black and steel gray versions of nappa leather). If you see the trims that offer the bench, between color and type of leather they would need 5 styles of bench to be available (2 for Limited, 2 for summit, 1 for Summit R)

Other decisions like not offering yet two tone exterior on the Overland, also have no reason but to help them limit variations on production,.

That could be right! It could also be that Overland and Summit are both "premium" models targeting different segments and in order to keep them separated they avoid the bench seat. That's my guess, still stupid either way. As for the overland... it has had the option for a two tone roof for awhile now, the 2021 had the option.
