Night vision cam don’t show anything

Hi everyone, got summit reserve, why the night vision camera always gray and don’t show anything, is it defected or i am doing some wrong , i did everything they say in the user manual headlights on speed less than 12 mph dark road

Less than 12MPH. Really? Is that a requirement? What's the point, not like you're in danger of running in to an animal at 12MPH!

Bad joke, I am sorry .. but, it really could be some tape or something protecting the lens ... look at all the sensors in the front of the car

Mine works way faster than 12MPH and it doesnt have to be dark.. I think yours is defective

Mine works at any speed. I have never had mine tell me it' snot functioning. I leave it on during the day sometimes and can see heat signatures from car exhaust/etc sort of like Predator haha

Im assuming the 8mph comment is an AND not an OR? I.e. headlights off under 8mph it will be on. Headlights on can be cruising?

That's correct. If your headlights are on, you can have the night vision on in the cluster at all speeds. Page 1 (vehicle data?) and then left or right to the proper page.

You just know they had to do it because somebody tried to drive in stealth mode with lights out thermal camera on.

I have been a bit skeptical of this feature, but my night vision spotted 2 deer in the road early this morning and gave me an audible warning. It alerted me well before I could see them, so was really pleased with how well it worked
