I had a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Smitybult front and rear bumpers, wench and a Mopar 2" lift. The Jeep was very competent off road but could sometimes be tiring on road due to Jeep wander (the redesign came in 2016 which supposedly corrected some of the wander). So, I started considering a replacement of a GC. I went online to the Build site and selected a SR fully loaded in Baltic Grey. I used the link to search for any available with my selections and found one with everything except the paint protection that showed in transit to a dealer 60 mIles away. I called them on a Friday evening and asked if it had a deposit on it yet. The sales guy checked on it and said it was complete at the plant waiting to be loaded on a train for transport. I used my CC to put a deposit on it.

Next day I went to Carmax to see what they would offer on the Wrangler. Their offer was $7K below NADA clean trade and I told them I would keep it in mind. Lately selling on craigslist could be a pain and somewhat dangerous so I notified friends and family I would sell for the offer amount but no interest. That week I was near the dealership on business so I stopped in to see what they would offer. I liked what they offered and accepted it. Since I also own a 2013 Ram 3500 Longhorn and 2016 BMW M6 convertable, I just went ahead with the trade in and they gave me a ride home (with my luck, something would happen to the Wrangler if I waited...LOL).

This was all a week ago so now the wait continues for my GCSR to come in.

Summit Reserve in Baltic Grey, Hemi, customer preferred package 25U, advanced protech group IV, luxury tech group V

I have to say that all the discussion about electronic gremlins has me wondering but I realize that forums are usually like this, most people only join and participat in forums if they have issues. I do plan to purchase the Mopar Protection since modern vehicles are loaded with electronics.

I have only had my Summit Reserve for about a week, and am mostly letting my wife drive it to get used to the electronics (she has a Grand Wagoneer stuck in a train side lot for the last three weeks waiting for the last two hour truck ride to dealer). The GW will be much bigger than her current car, GMC Acadia, so I'm hoping she gets used to the interface and controls, which are basically the same between the GC and GW, so she doesn't have to worry about the bigger vehicle and new interfaces.

So far, we haven't experienced/seen any electronic problems. Hopefully I didn't jinx it.

I just heard from the salesman, my GCSR is on the railcar but delayed. So I guess a similar situation, sitting in a railyard somewhere waiting to move toward Texas. I'm not afraid of operating the electronics, the BMW M6 is my 4th BMW and they are loaded with electronics. I'm just concerned reading all the threads here about gremlins. Maybe I should get a gremblin bell (some of you bikers know about that I'm sure).

I'm awaiting the twin to your gc. It hasn't been shipped to dealership as of yet (ordered in person) . I'm 60 miles from jnap assembly in Mich. Not ever had issues with jeep electronics 13 years with wranglers. Great products. Hoping for next week.
