My GCL sets off my Valentine One

Anybody else having an issue where your GCL sets off the X band? Have to run on full logic mode otherwise it just chirps away.

Why not just use Waze? Been using it as my “radar detector” for a few years now

Yeah this is super common. It's the radar and sensors that are used in these vehicles, most modern vehicles on the road will probably set it off also.

waze is good and in a lot of cases better than the detector but waze + radar is better. Especially on the less traveled roads where i live.

Do you need X band in your area?
I believe no law enforcement using any devices on X bands as per the guys on radar forums.
Myself i have the x and k bands turned off on my Uniden RD.

If you have an older V1, you used to be able to send it in to be modified so all these radar-based vehicle systems aren't detected/alerted. The newest V1 has that built in.
