Anyone find a good place to get the full set of metal skids (front, transmission, transfer case, fuel tank, etc) or P/Ns for the ones we need for our Ls?

If you go to store.mopar.com with the part #'s, the illustration updates to show you the exact thing youre buying - mymoparparts doesn't, but the prices are better.

Ok but how do we know the ones I'm looking at are metal? I didnt see anything in the description. I cant imagine at those prices they're faux fabric lol but I'm not ready to pull the trigger without knowing for sure.

The Mopar store describes them as skids, and the illustrations look like skids; I don’t know if any skids not made of metal lol if you want to confirm, take the part numbers and call your local parts Dept. Or call the vendor. I’m pretty confident these are the factory skids; that said, I’m not sure what the supplemental parts (brackets etc) are that you’ll need.

Maybe visit the parts Dept and ask for a listing of what’s involved in skid replacement and they can give you a parts # list and you can go shopping elsewhere.

Also: skids don’t have to all be done at once. I did my JK’s engine and oil pan first, never got to gas tank etc. Start with the sensitive parts first. To be honest, I did some blue/blacks with my Wrangler skids and careful driving prevented me from having to use them. I looked at it as if I used the skid, I chose the wrong line.
