MOPAR Paint Protection Film

I’m kind of curious about this as well. We didn’t have it on our altitude but the dealer sold us a 3m kit (for the bumper, mirrors, and bra on the hood) but I found out the 3m was almost twice the price of the mopar kit with the splash guards.

The Mopar stuff is a yellow color from the factory. I had some just above the rear rockers originally. The edges of the film where an 1/8" away from the edge if body panels making it extremely visible and look like garbage.

Going with an aftermarket film will allow you to get a way better film that has self healing properties and water beading priorities if you want. But the most important part is you can get it installed better and have zero seams or edges. I have the full front of my overland done, including mirrors, lights, door pockets, door edges, rockers, rear bumper fascia and rear bumper cargo(Mopar doesn't apply all these areas). You can't find a seam or edge anywhere and wouldn't know the car even has ppf. Everything is tucked and one piece of film. The price is also going to be significantly higher for a custom install also, think around $5k for something that is seamless.

If you're curious the best film right now is xpel or stek.

I did front clip on my GCL; Hood and forward for about $2k. Xpel self healing, and comes with a 10 year warranty for full replacment if necesssary.
