Memory seats acting strange

Anyone else having issues with the memory seats messing up when entering the vehicle? Ours worked fine for awhile and all of a sudden when I would say get out at a store and get back in the seat would lay way back. Then at one point it was leaning way forward from my stored setting. This thing is starting to worry me already. Of there are this many tech gremlins already what’s gonna happen as it ages.

They shouldn't have released this car for another year. It's completely half-baked. I have dozens of weird issues. Haven't seen the seats do that kind of thing, but the memory settings and key fob memory don't work, among a myriad other things. I feel like I need to buy multiple dash cams and put them around the car just to document all the random electrical defects.

I have seen this gremlin, but I can't say I can repeat it on command- I've not been able to find a pattern. I have the setting to pull back on exit (forget what it's called). Then sometimes it just doesn't return the seat to the saved position or sometimes the seat bottom will return to the saved position but not the seat back.

Easy entry/exit or something. Yeah we have that on too. It hasn’t done it again recently. The radio is doing the on off crap now.

FYI I had a 2012 GC with easy exit turned on since driving off the lot and eventually led to extreme wear of the sliding mechanism. There are rails and ball screw that requires lubrication. Over the years it will become dry as the factory lube is insufficient for the amount of usage. You have to pop a couple of plastic covers off to get to it. If using this feature you will need to either lube this screw/slides eventually or possibly damage you power seats. Mine became increasingly louder with age and then the grinding/scraping sound. I owned the 2012 for 6 years and drove 80K miles or so. I don't use this feature anymore on my 2018 or 2021 due to these facts.

My 2021 GCL memory seats are totally unusable from the key fob. I have to manually press the button on the door each time. The whole profile, key fob is a flop and doesn't work for me. Yes, I read the manual and it does not work per the manual at all.

It’s still a on going issue with 3 times to the dealer. They don’t know how to fix it.

Excellent advise, thanks!
