Hey Jake....in case you cant recognize it.... he is being sarcastic about your "informative" post... Maybe explain why he needs to go to the dealer at this point... Because they are the only ones right now who have access to the newer equipmnet needed to program/communicate with the new computer system in the L's

The replacement key has to be programmed into the main communication hub on the L. My communication hub was just replaced due to multiple communication faults last month, and they had to have both of my key fobs to reprogram them to my L.

Apple Airtags are WAY cheaper than Keys... I think google has a similar item now also. I know it not helping now but totally worth it.
