While I have no personal experience with it, a V6 equipped with the factory trailer tow package should be able to do the job for you. (Without the factory trailer tow package, you have only light duty cooling and the max trailer weight is limited to 3500 lbs.)
You should probably read the manual section on Trailer Towing, under Starting and Operating (near the bottom of that section).

It only refers to trip length in the context of what
not to do:
”Then, during the first 500 miles (805 km) that a trailer is towed, do not drive over 50 mph (80 km/h) and do not make starts at full throttle. This helps the engine and other parts of the vehicle wear in at the heavier loads.”
…but one can infer from that quote that trips of greater than 500 miles are designed for.
