Limited fully loaded or Basic Overland?

Would you guys go with a fully loaded limited including the luxury tech two package or an overland model as is except for the upgraded sound system and screen. V6 would be my choice on both and I would have to wait for the 2022 model to get the QL suspension.

I'm personally very happy with my Limited with luxury tech 2 package. Sure the Overland has a little more off road potential...but who uses a 60k+ vehicle for serious off roading? Not me anyways. The Quandra Trac 1 system will be plenty fine for snow and light off roading.

I personally went down to the Limited because I wanted the gray plastic trim along the bottom and around the wheel wells...as opposed to the painted on the Overland and Summit. Sure, the painted looks nice when new...but I hate trying to keep the road tar and gravel chips off painted trim. I use my SUV for light off road use, and if my unpainted trim gets beat up I can replace it cheaply. Not the same case with painted trim.

Also...I don't know where you are located, but here in the midwest...Indiana, Ohio, Illinois...there is a massive inventory of '21 Limited models...and very few Overlands or Summits. I would anticipate being able to swing a decent deal as the year winds down.

I am in Arizona and there are a decent amount in stock around here but absolutely none with the luxury tech 2 package

Do you think you could replace the black trim from the limited with the body color trim of the Overland after purchase? How do you think that would cost? That's the only part of the limited I don't like. I have velvet red so the black matte trim stands out. Doesn't really stand out on black or dark Grey limiteds

I have a silver Limited and the black trim makes a nice contrast.

Rarely can you buy prepainted plastic trim pieces. They always come unpainted, and you have to get it painted at a local body shop. I have no idea if these pieces are available yet from Jeep. If not, they will be eventually. However from my experience, that would be a tough job to color match all the trim to your specific Jeep. It would be pretty pricey as well.

I went thru the same thought process, almost bought the overland, but decided on the limited with luxury/tech 2, 10 inch screen/upgraded sound, 20 inch tires, and trailer tow, it was still thousands less than the Overland. Happy with my decision.

Thanks for the info. I have a guy that does body work. I will ask him. I will provide any details in case someone else is interested.

Same here. I ended up with the Limited optioned exactly like this one. Dealer I went through in Michigan had two identical Limiteds in White. He still has one, I'm driving the other. I'm very happy with my decision as well. I debated QT1 vs QT2 for a while but really liked the options that came with the Luxury/Tech 2. Getting those same options in an Overland really drove the price up. As of Friday, there were 3 dealers I found in Michigan that still had Limiteds optioned exactly like mine in black and white; June/July build dates.

i went with a fully loaded limited with luxury tech package.. i love it.. the overland would of cost me and extra 7 or 8k after fees and taxes and BS they add to it. I even bought extra warranty and mileage from the dealer and still cost me less then an overland. but im happy with my purchase.. just looking to get some meatier tires on it to complete the look im going for

I had the same experience as ROC44. Lots of Limiteds on the lot, so they gave me $3K off the $55,610 MSRP of a Limited with tech and tow, etc. But they were only willing to take about $1K off the MSRP of an Overland since there were only a few on the lot. Also, there are no stripped Overland models, so ultimately there was about an $8K difference between the Limited and Overland.

The painted trim pieces do look very nice. I have a Limited GCL and was banging around bumping up to the Overland but I found in Baltic Grey the black plastic really blends in well. You almost don’t notice it. Unless an overland was right next to it of course.

I just wish they were here in Az it's almost looking like if i don't want to wait the 3 months build time, I'll have to settle for no Lux/tech package. Glad you were able to get one, that rear view digital screen on the mirror is what attracted me to the package!

I was originally seriously considering an "21 Overland. Told the salesman, I would think about it, as I was driving a "19 Traverse High Country. Anyways, The salesman calls me the next day Telling me that they found me a lower finance rate than the day before with a 90 day delay payment. So, I go back to the dealership. I really wanted to have second row bucket seats. So, I told him that I might be happier in a Limited. The colors that were on the lot didn't really appeal to me. He went to see if they could a dealer trade. The manager said there was a black one out back that a customer never came back for about 3 weeks. It was dealer trade from Cal. , Bingo! short of the McIntosh, and electric folding seats, it had the Lux/Tech II, Trailer package, Pano roof, Upgraded Nav w/ 10.1 screen, and 20" wheels. About a 9K savings.
