I have a 21 JT Willys and for a few months now a 21 WL Laredo for the family.

I wanted to give a shout out to all the Laredo owners, after going through the forums, all I see are Overland and Summit owners lol. Either no one owns a Laredo or no one admits it. I will stand up and say....I could only afford the Laredo LOL. Hello all. Glad to join the forums.

Altitude here!! At least that’s what the sticker says. I believe it’s a Laredo with different features and they call it an Altitude. I will say this, all of the issues reported on these forums seem to be in the Overland and Summit models.

Wanted the Altitude but they didn't ship any with the bench unfortunately. I've noticed that. 4k miles, no issues so far.

Altitude here as well. We preferred the look of it over the other trims and it also happened to be what we could afford. The higher trims have some nice features but nothing I felt was necessary compared to the Laredo/altitude, at least not for 10-20k more. The only one maybe being the nicer 4wd systems. Although we don’t plan on mudding or rock crawling with a 3 row vehicle. Snow and maybe hunting/camping trails will be the hardest 4wd conditions it will face and I feel the stock system will be more than sufficient. It was in my 07 Laredo anyway.

Ok. Not a Laredo but I have a Limited. However, I joined this thread because I actually like the V6 and don’t mind the simpler QT1 four wheel drive. I like that it is simpler. The V6 reminds me of other Jeep’s I’ve owned (Jeepster with 225 V6 and Cherokee with 4.0 I6). It feels (a lot) nimbler than the Yukon Denali I recently had and much more capable. It will make it to all of the trailheads and fishing spots I will go to.

Any Laredo or Altitude owners here happen to get the terrain select with their vehicle? Website says it’s available but I’ve only seen it for the limited and up. My 4wd altitude did not come with it.

They keep making changes to what features are or are not available for the same model trim. I have seen three different versions of the limited, all still technically 2021 model years.

Hmm I wonder if the select terrain is just a buy the part and plug and play? The problem with my 4wd altitude is that there is no indicator on if the system is working. In my previous 2013 explorer it at least showed the torque going to each axle

😂😂 great post! I made the jump from an ‘01 Infiniti Qx4 to a ‘21 blacked out Altitude. I’ve always loved the look of the previous Grand Cherokee’s, and more than thrilled to own one of the L’s! I watched a variety of videos on YouTube of every L available, and really loved the breakdown of the blacked out Laredo. I went back the next day, and they had just gotten in the blacked out altitude. It was too much of a stretch for the higher trims, but the altitude Laredo was perfect for me and my family. No issues, and loving the first 1,700 miles of it!

Altitude here as well, I just love the blacked out look way more than the limited upgrades. Sacrificed the minor interior upgrades over the meaner look of the altitude exterior. Only thing I wish it had was memory seats.

This is my 3rd grand cherokee, just upgraded from a 2015 WK2 altitude. Before that, had a Laredo 2008 WK.

This body style is for sure my favorite. Wasn’t looking for the 3rd row L, went to check for a 2022 but saw these on the lot and took it home.
