Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

My build sheet is available today. Does that mean it's built? The ship date is today according to the dealer.

Timeline for those who are wondering:
Ordered 8/30
Received Vin 9/3
D1 Status 10/3
Build Sheet available 11/17
It means you should be getting the vehicle very soon.
Your window sticker will probably show up 1-2 days after you have the build sheet.
Ask your dealer for the current status code so you can confirm if it shipped already.

rookie question - How is everyone getting build sheet sent to them? From dealer or some Jeep.com signup that I use my VON?
(22 SR V6 on order)

I agree. I ordered 21 GCL Summit Reserve V6 08/10/21. Have VIN on printout from dealer with status as of 10/29/21 D1 - Gateline plant has sequenced the unit for production with a ship date 11/29/21. Called Jeep Cares number today. They only show my 17 GC Summit in their system. No info in there for 21 GCL SR. Now I have a case number and a rep will contact me in 1-2 days. They had me on hold while they searched for VIN. They found nothing
Hot cars! Stolen already! Can you file an insurance claim? LOL

There are some websites which will track this for you... but personally I rather not put my information into a third-party site if I don't need to.

I wasn't sure about sharing this before, but It looks like this has been around for a while and posted on different forums.

The window sticker can be retrieved from: https://www.jeep.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=YOURVINHERE

Funny you say that! Lol. I am an insurance agent! Got email from US Customer Care. Now saying all materials received to start build process “soon”. Supposedly being expedited. I have no faith in this!

I never got a build sheet for my car that I received and it never posted online. Just the window sticker.

My car has 500 miles on it and is in the dealer for service. The Uconnect and software keeps crashing and popping up take in for service. Active park, rear view camera, ACC, Lane assist, wipers came on at full speed despite being in off position. Pretty ticked off right now

Both of you got your orders in just shortly after they opened the allocation for MY22, so you could say you are ahead in the queue for 2022 L
Since you ordered V6, those will probably be the first units coming out of the plant once they start 2022's.
Right now they are still pumping out '21 V6 and are having significant delays on '21 V8's.
But until you are in D1 status, you don't get an estimated ship date (which means nothing lately because they just keep pushing out the dates even for D1)
What is the reason for the substantial delay on the V8s? I ordered a SR V8 at the end of July and I still don't even have a build sheet or window sticker. Have been in and out of D1 for months and the projected production/shipping date just keeps getting kicked down the road. I'm starting to think I'll get my 2021 in 2022.

This is somewhat speculative, but the concensus on here has been delays due to supply chain/global shipping crisis. FCA has a license with ZF to build the transmission for the V6 domestically, while the v8 transmission is imported.

Given the size and weight of a transmission, they are likely being shipped by the container full via ocean freight. Frieght shipping has been a huge mess all over the world for quite a while due to everything from container shortages, port delays, and the list of issues goes on for a while.

Wow, now that's interesting. I figured they had a license for all the ZF variants to build them stateside. I understand the chip issues, everyone is facing the same thing these days. I have, however, been scratching my head trying to figure out what the difference in delay is between the v6 and v8 since both engines have been around for a while now. My only counter to that theory would be the handful of folks on here who have a much later order date for a v8 and have seen them built/shipped already. Thank you for the insight.

V8 transmission is built in Germany. So the logistics of it makes sense as to one reason of the delays.
What's weird is that majority of V8's in transit today are Overland. Very little Summit and Summit SR being shipped lately, V6 or V8.
If you order is Summit/Summit SR you are probably seeing longer delays.
My brother placed an order for V8 Overland on Sept 15th, it shipped already last week, delivered.
So if the transmission is the main issue, why much older orders of V8's (mostly Summit/Summit SR) have not shipped yet but Overlands are shipping?
There is something else delaying the Summit trims

Fair point. I hope that as we come out of this craziness companies will learn to be more transparent about what things are causing delays.

My dealer told me they started build today. But I already asked them to cancel my order.

I'm too worried about potential issues. Anyone here with SR V8 who has faced issues? For context my current vehicle has had no issues till date for the last 4 years.

Window sticker was available but now is not available. Hmm.

Went KZ status 11 / 10.

Maybe because the real Monroney is on the vehicle?

Any ideas?

You should be able to see your window sticker at any time. It's weird that you saw it before and now is not available.
If it was KZ 10 days ago, it should have shipped already. Your dealer can tell you what code he sees now, should be KZ + another letter

How long after your dealer confirming that your order has entered build did the build sheet become available. My dealer told me it entered production on Nov 19 but I don't see the build sheet or window sticker yet.
