I also got a Jeep Cares welcome email last night and it looks like I'm also getting the 2021 I ordered on 8/17.

For those who have ordered and received their vehicles, how soon after the Jeep Cares welcome email did you take delivery?

I ordered MY21 Baltic Gray SR on 8/4. On 9/3 dealer told me it would be a 22. On 9/13 got Vin for a MY22 vehicle. No info on pricing changes or timeline.

I ordered a V8 summit mid July and jeep cares says they are still receiving parts for my order. I don't understand what order they are building these jeeps in. If it doesn't have the air suspension I'm definitely not buying it.
I think the transmission on the V8 models is being built overseas (Germany?), and if that is correct then I suspect that the V8 models are being held up due to all the global shipping issues.

As a reference point, Port of Los Angeles had a backup of over 100 ships at anchor a week or two ago. He normal level is around 10-15 in the peek season, and there is at least another six months of cargo ships inbound right now.

Correct, V8 transmission is made in Germany.
Depending on how much demand they have on these, it could certainly delay the V8 units way more than the V6’s
Regarding shipments from Asia, yes absolutely it will delay any components or raw material coming from there, but its unlikely shipments from Germany are taking the Asia route to come to US.

I received the Jeep cares email yesterday as well, ordered my 21 Altitude on 9/20 and was told last Thursday it was in transit. No sure when it will arrive but thought it was odd to receive the email when I was told it's in transit.

Well then I'll probably never get it haha. I'm just hoping it gets here before first snow.

At what point would a 2021 VIN be revised to a 2022 one? If that happens will the features of 2022 be applied?(example 2nd screen on the dashboard etc.)

Got word from my dealership that my SR 5.7 that I ordered in early June should be here this week. According to the sticker, the only thing it’s missing is the eLSD.

Awesome! We are enjoying driving ours that was on order since May 3. We have had it about 8 days now!

Ordered our SR 5.7L end of July. Received my Jeep Customer Care welcome email end of last week, does that mean I should be getting it soon?

That usually means that the car is being built. I received mine when the status went to assembly from D1. I ordered in June and it should arrive in town this week. It was assembled 2 weeks ago.

You can check with your dealership for their order status or with Jeep Chat or check if your window sticker is ready here: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...sticker-and-build-sheet-order-tracking.12503/

My window sticker showed up about the time the vehicle went to shipping status.

Well finally. Of course just before I cancelled I am told my Jeep entered G status. So it should be fully built any day now and shipped to me.
SR silver zenith V8 orders May 8th. Canada.

Any tips on getting booking amount refunded?
My SR order that I placed in July is still in D1. Even with the most conservative estimates it won't here before mid December.

Honestly I don't want a 2021 car in 2022 and given all the problems people have been experiencing, I think it's best to not get a GCL at this time.

Though my dealer told me 12-16 weeks wait when I ordered they havenow told me that it's 16-20 weeks and pushing back on a refund. Has anyone had success getting your booking amount refunded?

This is really up to the dealer.
To your advantage and unlike in the past (pre-pandemic) they would have no trouble selling a special order if you dont take delivery. Its actually an advantage for them to get one more unit for sale considering all dealers are getting just a fraction of the stock they have ordered.
You may need to go into the dealer and negotiate this, appeal to their logic if you are just wanting to replace with a new order.

Congrats!
What trim/option did your order?

These emails are just going out at random times and not at any particular moment in the build.
Many have gotten the email and the units are still in D1, not even build sheets available. In your case the unit had already shipped when you got the email.
Not sure a timeline can be taken from the point someone gets the welcome email.
The delays are more related to trim/options.
It seems most V8’s are delayed.

I don’t know how Jeep is scheduling when vehicles get built. I ordered a V8 summit with a bench on 8/17. As of 10/1, Jeep had all the parts to build the car (verified by several Jeep employees) and was in queue. Here we are nearly six weeks later and my vehicle still hasn’t entered into production.

I’ve seen my same build on many dealers’ lots within a few hours of me. I’ve been tempted to cancel my order and go buy one of those, but haven’t because I don’t want to have to fight to get my deposit refunded. I may change my attitude if I don’t see any movement in another two weeks.
