Ordered a '22 GCL Summit V6 on 1/25
Dealer originally had an estimated ship date of 3/14
Found out today that it got pushed back to 4/1
Hopefully that is the last delay and I'm able to take delivery in late April/early May

Placed an order on 2/12 for a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L summit reserve. Up until now I’ve been told it’s in the scheduling phase by Jeep Chat but today was told that we are in the “build phase.” Does this mean we are in D1? Jeep chat could not confirm any details.

Your dealership should be able to tell you what status code it is in. I had to follow up with my dealership because Jeep chat was being vague.

Also I just checked with Jeep chat and I'm still in scheduling. No surprise there, but that could very well mean that you are in fact in D1. 👍

It turns out that I’m actually still in scheduling so I’m not sure how reliable Jeep Chat’s updates are.

The build phase means that's it's actually being built - it's Frame, then Paint, then trim and then your done and it ships...

Check for a build sheet using this link: https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=

Put your vin at the end of that and paste it into a web browser. It will populate once you're out of trim.
Thank you! Our status has been fluctuating. We have gone from “all parts gathered” back to ”gathering parts” and then stayed in scheduling for a few weeks. Recently we went from “build phase” back to “scheduling” and now we are “scheduled for production and will be entering the build phase soon” 🤷‍♀️

My first jeep purchase/experience and so far not so good. I’m a Chevy gal but have had some engine issues with each in the past so decided I really like the Grand Cherokee L’s and was ready for a change. Went to 3 dealerships to get the best trade in value for my Chevy and ended with the last dealership. The dealership had exactly what I wanted “In Transit” (this was 1/14/22) and we put money down and signed a paper stating our name was put against this vehicle. Got up to leave and the receptionist stopped the salesman to tell him something and the next thing we know - he had sold us an already sold vehicle. He was embarrassed. I asked if he had another in transit . . . He went back to his manager and about 20 minutes later came back out showing us another that was in transit that was exactly the same. We signed that paper and was told we’d see it in approximately 2 weeks (beginning of Feb). Fast forward to 2nd week of Feb and we received a call from Salesman saying it arrived on their lot but they couldn’t sell it to us until a part was replaced for the radio. He said they ordered the part and it was due to arrive and be installed the next Wednesday or Thursday. I took vacation for Friday so we had all day to pick up the jeep with no rushing. Thursday came and the salesman called and said he has bad news. The part is on back order and they can’t even order it. He now explained that it was the radio frequency hub module. This is now March 20th. Still no word on this part. I contacted jeep 3 times with the last time jeep chat stating that my name was put in the que for the part. The dealership has our down payment and interest rates are going up. This is going to cost us more in the end once they tell us they can now sell us the jeep. I read on other forums that March 21st is when mechanics can order this part again??? And I saw where current owners are given the parts first - which is understandable but what about the buyers who gave down payments and were assigned a VIN? I don’t have much faith in jeep chat at all. Anyone else having this sort of experience?

The part in question is a big deal, there were some defective parts sometime in Jan / Feb and it causes the Jeep to no longer recognize your key fobs. Jeep issued a "Stop Sale" order on all afflicted units and I imagine there were quite a few of them, so the parts are probably back ordered, especially since I hope that they prioritized already sold units. So if your wondering, your dealer isn't jerking you around, they just can't get it yet.

I'm still in D status. I'm not going to check anymore. It'll get here when it gets here at this point. Looking at all the issues people are having isn't making me feel super excited for it as much anymore. 😅
I'm about to be in the same boat 12 weeks today from the order... 22 weeks when I gave them 3K for a deposit ....

3k 😅 They only required me to put out $500 up front. They came up with some wild numbers for my lease deal and trade that I don’t think are going to hold up anymore. I’ll likely be keeping my WK2 at this point unless they surprise me and hold up their end of the deal.
