@Babolat I am very curious what is on your build sheet. Would you be okay with sharing it with us? If you don't want to put your VIN up, maybe copy/paste the contents of the PDF without the VIN?

Just got an update from Jeep chat. They said that it's in the Paint stage, with no dealer eta yet. So updated timeline for folks. Hoping this materializes soon!

10/9: ordered a 22 L Summit, V6
10/18: dealership told me that a VIN and an order number was established
10/27: I got a email from Jeep cares
11/3: dealership said that its in "D" status and Jeep chat said that typically production starts after 7-9 weeks from order, which would put us around 11/27 at 7 weeks. They mentioned that once production starts, could take up to 10 days to complete.
11/11: No longer in D status
11/16: All Parts have been received and should enter the build process shortly
12/1: Paint stage

7.5 weeks to the day since the order. 8 weeks on Saturday. Hope this keeps moving?!
Jeep chat wont tell you this, but your dealer can tell you what the Estimated Date of Shipment is at this moment in their screen.

Btw, these changes today on @Babolat vehicle moving to Paint confirms they started the 2022 Build on 12/1 as recently scheduled.
It either means all the people still waiting on their 2021's will start to get them soon (they're probably are or will be later today moved to in transit) or some units that were note completed could be converted to 2022 model.
Does someone knows if manufacturers are allowed to build at the same time both 2021 and 2022 on the same model. If they are allowed, then yes it could be possible they do both because there are almost no differences on the newer model

As a few of us on this thread, I am still waiting for my 21 GCL SR w/ two tone paint and bench seat ordered 08/10/21. On 11/26 i got an email that it was built and next step quality inspection. Today I called jeep chat and the rep had to put me on hold about 3 times during about a 30 minute period. Finally said it was going into quality inspection (a week later) and to allow TWO more weeks. Then it will be shipped. No date available. Depends on scheduling. Original shipping date was 11/29. Yes it is a 21 not a 22. Has all the items that have been missing per build sheet. No window sticker available. Maybe you will get your 22 before i get my 21. LOL. Hopefully pricing will be favorable to me!

in the boating world you cant,, once you start new model year its that model year.. my 21 is built so they say all I have is a build sheet and some chats and texts from my dealer... I will not accept a 21 if delivered in 22. I let jeep cares and my dealer know this.. I cant see where they can just switch VINs to a new model year things are not that simple. 21s and 22 are different, oh well. Tick Tock tick tock

Ordered 2022 GCL Summit Reserve with the V8 on 11/6.
11/10 had a VIN and Status was D-Firm schedule serial number is assigned
11/15 Jeep Chat said "Your vehicle is in scheduling with parts being gathered. No Dealer ETA yet"
11/20 Jeep Chat said "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. No Dealer ETA yet."
11/30 Jeep Chat said same thing as 11/20
12/1 Update: Jeep Chat said "I can see all the required materials for your vehicle have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build anytime now!"

Is there anyway to check the status code of your vehicle without having to contact the dealership? Don't want to keep bothering them and they aren't going to just notify me when changes occur.
Yes, Jeep Chat can help you. Once the vehicle is KZ’d they are useless though.

If you can see the window sticker, your vehicle is built, invoiced, and shipped.
Not entirely correct. Window sticker means built and released. Not shipped. You could have a window sticker and sit in the lot waiting to be shipped for a week or more.

Does anyone know the date that MY 22s are supposed to start building? I see they are still churning out MY 21s. With the wrangler and gladiator there is always a known date for the new MY build starts, haven‘t see that with the GCL. I ordered 11/24 and I’m still in C, I expected to get the VIN and move to D much quicker based off my last two gladiator builds.

I ordered a 2022 SR V6 with all packages including bright sidesteps on 10/14 as part of a buyback.
I’m still in D status. My repurchase coordinator has assured me my build will be priority since it is part of a buyback. I have never been too confident of that assurance.
Ask them specifically what Special Scheduling Condition you build is slated for. I got both of my previous builds set to VII and that puts it to the front of the line as soon as VIN is issued and assuming they are building them.

Case in point, I ordered my Diesel Rubicon Gladiator on 4/20 at the end of the day. I emailed my guy on 4/21 and he replied back on 4/22. The truck entered Framing on 4/23.

Here is a screenshot from my JTRD build sheet showing what the condition is:

I‘ve been watching this from another forum. I wouldn’t bet money on any of these dates until they actually start. My guess is that Jeep doesn’t know the start date 100%.

From Eslabito
BBL fleet has been spot on with their updates in the past.
They have production for 2022 WL75 starting today 12/01

Napleton has it starting tomorrow 12/02:

Link: Start Up Dates

In both cases BBL and Napleton, they updated their dates recently so they could be accurate.

I ordered in July and mine had a ship date of 11/12. It arrived this week and was definitely worth the wait. Hopefully yours arrives soon.

Jeep Chat just confirmed:

Thank you for your patience here. Your vehicle is fully assembled and ready for the road! It is currently in final inspection status. Congratulations! We lack an ETA at this time but please keep in touch with us for the very latest.

I just contacted the dealership and the system says pending final inspection but doesn't have a date range yet. But the build sheet is available today!

Good to know, thank you for this! I would hope that means I should get my status bumped to D soon and get a VIN assigned. Once that happens it's all down hill and expedited from there!

nice!
You should be able to pull your build sheet anytime now. Confirm you have the QL and tow package(assuming is 4x4)
Yours is probably one of the first 2022 L's coming out of the plant.

Build Sheet is available but the window sticker is not. I have the tow package on there and the QL (Normal Duty Suspension Quadra-Lift (TM) Air Suspension)

Hope I get it soon! We leave for the mountains on 12/23

Aug 2nd, ordered our 2021 Jeep Cherokee L Summit Reserve V8 in all black exterior and black interior. Bucket seat for second row. Added the advanced pro tech group IV and luxury tech group V. Showed up Nov 29th. Picked up Nov 30th. Within 12 hours the night vision not working. Went back to the dealership today. But overall loving it.

Looks like the 21 SR’s are the last built for 21 and last out of the line before the 22’s. The last of us with orders from July August September seem to finally be built and hopefully move to the dealers before the 22’s! No offense to you 22’s out there!
